PEARL ELIZABETH MITCHELL

Pearl Elizabeth Mitchell was born to Benjamin and Pearl Morris in the year 1941 in Kansas City, MO.  She attended high school at Lincoln and R.T. Cole.  Pearl received her state license in cosmetology.  she worked in the field until about 1985.  In later years, she sold Avon, and for years, she was among the top three saleswomen in her district. Pearl married Billy Mitchell in 1960, and they were married for 48 years until God called Deacon Mitchell to his final resting place, in 2009.    This union produced three children, Billy Jr. (Yolanda) Debra (Clarence), and Angela.  Six grandchildren Robin, (Delvin) Billy Joseph, Stephanie, Keith, Katrina (Robert), Tamika and (Gavin).  She was also Blessed with eleven great grandchildren.  She had three brothers, Benjamin and William Preceded her in death and Paul W. Morris (Marchita); three sisters, Shirley Fitch (preceded her in death), Patrice Franks, and Betty Johnson all of Las Vegas, Nevada and a host of nieces and nephews. Pearl joined the Morning Star Baptist Church under the pastoral care of A.B. Simmons and remained a Faithful, hardworking member until her health failed in 2018.  The church auxiliaries with her membership were the Choir, Host and Hostess Club, Deaconess, and the Prayer Band just to name a few.  Along with all her Children, Grandchildren, and Great-Grandchildren morning her loss, we also realize that Pearl “Mom” as many came to know her, had a lot of friends, relatives and others that came to love her over the years. while we will always miss you, and Love You Momma, we also understand that God had prepared your eternal home, and He was ready for you to come rejoin Daddy and assume your heavenly tasks. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at Morning Star Baptist Church 2411 E. 27th Street KCMO.  Visitation 9:00 a.m. Interment Forest Hill Cemetery.
