Morris Anthony “Mac “Clay, Sr. was born on January 12, 1951 to William and Lucille (Slocun) Clay in Kansas City, Missouri.
He attended the public schools of Kansas City, Missouri and graduated from Central High School in 1969.
He was preceded in death by both parents, William and Lucille Clay.
“Mac” as he was affectionately known, was an avid Kansas City Royals and Kansas City Chiefs fan. He was an avid Sportscaster for KPRS and KPRT.
He enjoyed playing dominoes at the Palestine Senior Citizens Center and hanging out at Bobs - N -Motion and Old Folks Restaurant and Lounge and he was the owner of Mac Clay Limousine Service.
He was a former member of Antler Elks Lodge #1426.
Mac departed this life on August 17, 2018.
Morris Anthony “Mac” Clay, Sr. leaves to mourn but cherish his memories, his son, Morris Clay, Jr.; two brothers, Marvin Clay of El Cajon, California and Rodney Clay of Kansas City, Missouri; two sisters, Denise Reeves of Kansas City, Missouri and Ladonna Perkins of Phoenix, Arizona; three first cousins: Charles Morrison, Larry Morrison, and April Jones all of Kansas City, Missouri; faithful friend, Diane Faulkner of Kansas City, Missouri and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral Service for Mr. Morris “Mac” Clay, Sr. will be held Saturday, September 1, 11:00 a.m. at Watkins Heritage Chapel, 4000 E. Emanuel Cleaver II Blvd.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Heritage Chapel.
