MONTAE’ TYRONE ROBERTSON “TAE”

Montae’ Tyrone Robertson (Tae) was born on December 10, 1987 in Kansas City, Missouri and died on Sunday, July 28, 2019.  Montae’ attended Paseo High School and later received his diploma.  He went on to receive a certificate as a Personal Trainer.  Montae’ enjoyed life.  He enjoyed his family and tried to live every day to its fullest with family and friends.  He was very protective of his siblings.  Montae’ was notorious for his debonair style and exquisite taste for coordinating his wardrobe.  Montae’ had a comical side to his personality and he had a serious side. He loved to laugh and chill.  However, when it was time to take care of business, he stepped-up to the plate and did his thing.  Montae’ embraced fatherhood very well and took it very seriously.  He had dreams for both girls and he planned to protect and secure their future with the very best.  Truly, it hurts that he won’t be here to carry-out his desires.  Monte’ was very similar to “Nipsey Hustle” in his personality.  We will certainly miss his noble character.  Salute to you Montae’ “I Love You and will truly miss you, until we meet again.”  Love Margo.  Montae’ was noted for helping the homeless without anyone knowing.  He valued and respected women as he viewed them as “Queens.” Montae’ was a private person, never flashy. You never knew his next move.  He was the type of person who would show you, better than he could tell you. In other words, “Don’t talk about it; be about it!” Montae’ always displayed self-respect and respect for others especially for women, children and the elderly.  Montae’ was laid back and easy going.  It’s fair to say, “he stayed in his lane.”  Our beloved Montae’ is survived by his parents Tammy Williams (Willie) and Johnell Hunter (Tammy Hussing); brothers Antonio Robertson, Marcus Robertson and Jaqueale Smith; sisters Krigles Hunter, Denali Hunter and Jahnell Hunter.  maternal grandmother Dorothy Robertson; daughter Kemijai Robertson (Lakendra Jackson) and honorary daughter: Kenari Walls; special friends Tayia and honorary godson Montea' godmother Tracey Crawford-Ellis and a host of uncles, aunts and cousins.  Montae’ will be missed.  Funeral Service will be held at 1:00a.m. on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at Watkins Heritage Chapel 4000 Emanuel Cleaver II Blvd. Kansas City, Missouri 64130.  Visitation 9:00a.m.  Interment Brooking Cemetery Kansas City, Missouri.
