Joe Emerson Hall, age 77, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 4, 2018, at Saint Luke’s Hospice House in Kansas City, Missouri.
He was born on August 25, 1940 in Sulphur Springs, Texas to Eddie and Etta (Thomas) Hall.
He was a graduate of Manual High School in Kansas City, Missouri. After high school, he joined the United States Navy where he served his country honorably for four years. He went on to graduate from Kean College with a Degree in Accounting.
On April 21, 1975, Joe married Carolyn Elizabeth Bryant. Together, they had one daughter and were happily married for 43 years. Joe was an avid golfer and Kung-Fu instructor. He ate, slept, walked, and talked Kung-Fu and will be highly missed in the martial arts arena.
Joe Hall is survived by his beloved wife Carolyn; daughter, Latifa Hall of Washington, DC; siblings, Shelton Hall and Margie Johnson of Kansas City, Missouri and grandson, Malachi Hall of Washington, DC.
Funeral Service for Joe Hall will be held Saturday, July 14, 11:00 a.m. at Lawrence A. Jones and Sons Funeral Chapel, 1800 E. Linwood Blvd.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel.
Interment, Twelve Gates Memorial Garden.
