Helen Louise Hardy, 92, years of age, was born on May 27, 1925, in Lawrence, Kansas.
Helen departed this life on April 26, 2018.
She was preceded in death by Arvie Southard, Sr., Cleadthus Hardy, Sr., Arvie Southard, Jr., Monta Everett-Harris and Marcus Bryant, Sr.
Helen accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She attended school in Bloomington, Kansas. She worked as a Bookkeeper and Cashier.
Helen was united in marriage to Arvie Southard, Sr. They had two daughters and one son. She later met and married Cleadthus Hardy, Sr. and united their families together.
Mrs. Hardy had a lot of involvement in the community. Helen, also known s “Mrs. Helen or Mrs. Hardy”. Was a mother, wife, counselor, a comforter, and motivator. She received the “KCMO National Volunteer Award” for her dedication for working with the community in 1988.
Helen Louise Hardy leaves to cherish her memories, her children: Frances Fleming of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Thelma Bryant of Kansas City, Missouri and Mitzi (Albert Brown) of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; her grandchildren: LeGina Seals, Robin Williams, Barry Smith, Drenna Gilmore, James Bryant, Jr., Albert Brown, Jr., Brian Brown, Mark Brown, Marketta Brown and Michelle Brown; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, friends and extended family.
Funeral Service for Helen Louise Hardy will be held Saturday, May 5, 11:00 a.m. at New Generations Christian Center, 800 NW Commerce Drive, Lee’s Summit, Missouri.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Christian Center.
