(Grace), daughter of Ida and George Williams, was born April 11, 1927 in North Little Rock, Arkansas. 

Gracie had two sisters, Bertha Watson and Emma Brown and two brothers, John Williams and Earl Williams.  All siblings preceded Gracie in death.

Gracie attended Hillside Elementary School and Jones High School.  Gracie was soon united in married to LaSalle Burt and had four children, Halimah, Shirlean, Bobbie and Joyce.  After death of LaSalle, Grace later married, Romaine Steele and had five from this union, Ronald, Glenn, Patricia, Delores and Tanya.  After the death of her second husband, Gracie married a wonderful man, Noah Neal in 1976 until his passing in 1994.

Gracie Neal started her career working various positions in the school system from Cafeteria Assistant to working with special needs children.  Gracie then moved to a career at City Hall with the Health Department, downtown Kansas City, Missouri.

As a mom, Gracie was an excellent cook, she could make anything, and she did.     Thanksgiving and Easter were her favorite holidays because she would make a feast for all to enjoy.  Because of her love of cooking Gracie, soon became a professional cake decorator and catered many of her children and grandchildren birthdays and weddings.

Gracie quietly departed this life and was called home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 15, 2019.  Gracie was preceded in death by four of her children, Halimah Lewis, Glenn Steele, Joyce Stevens and Delores Henderson.  Gracie was also, preceded in death by three grandchildren, Sharron, Muhammad and LaTanya.

Gracie leaves to cherish her memories, her five children, Shirlean Burt, Bobbie Jones, Ronald Steele, Patricia Steele, all of Kansas City, Missouri and Tanya Steele of Indiana.  God has truly blessed Gracie over the years as she lived to see five generations with twenty-three grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grand children; and a host of  nieces, nephews, cousins, colleagues and friends. Gracie it’s been a full life.  God Bless you and Rest in Peace.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. on Monday, April 22, 2019 at Lawrence A. Jones and Son’s Linwood Chapel. Visitation 9:00 A.M. Interment Floral Hills Cemetery.
