DELORES MARIE DAVIS-LAMB
Delores was born on December 16, 1955 and transitioned to be with the Lord on November 17, 2019. Delores Marie Davis-Lamb, 63, is the eldest child born to John and Yearline Lamb. She is survived by her son Rev. Dr. Desmond C. Lamb (Claudine) three grandchildren DeAnna, Alexandria and Desmond Jr. and a great grandchild Alozo Cooper aka Tre; four sisters and one brother. Her parents and two brothers preceded her in death. Delores loved to enjoy life and she did just that. Delores loved shopping, dancing, eating at Red Lobster and Captain D’s. Delores loved her grandchildren as she called their name everyday while in the hospital for three weeks. Delores accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Calvary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. H.W. Bowen. Her membership remained under Calvary and then she transitioned with her parents to Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. Once her son was elevated to pastoral-ship she supported her son’s ministry wholeheartedly. She supported her son’s ministry as he spent two years as Pastor of Second Baptist Church in Odessa, Missouri and then called to Forest Grove Baptist Church in Kansas City, Kansas. Delores joined Forest Grove and served as a Witnessing Warrior and a Testifying Saint until her health failed her. She was a member of Forest Grove Baptist church for 22 years. Delores worked as a Supervisor for ISS Facility Services. She loved cleaning and keeping things in order. Delores will be missed by her son who he lets know, his mom was his only parent in life. Her lifelong friends will also miss her, Paula Jack, Gail King, Yolonda “YoYo” Head and Vera Holmes.
