Alice Williams was the second of seven children born to Gurthie and James Winston on February 13, 1951 in Morrilton, Arkansas. Her family moved to Kansas City, Kansas where she received her education in the Wyandotte County School District.
Alice was united in holy matrimony November 3, 1965 to Joseph Williams, Jr. and to this union they had four children were born.
She was a dedicated worker for 35 years as a Lap Polisher for Electro Dynamics prior to that she was a Dietary Hostess at KU Medical Center.
She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, mother-in-law and friend to many.
She was a dedicated God-fearing woman of God and Praised the Lord through the good days and bad ones. She was a long-standing active member for more than 50 years at First Baptist Church of Quindaro, where she served on the Official Board as a Deaconess and assisted wherever needed in many areas of the church. She sang in the choir, worked diligently in the kitchen, attended Sunday School and served in the Missionary Department to name a few.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents James and Gurthie Winston, her husband, Joseph Williams, Jr., her sister, Deborah Ann Winston and recently her brother, William Earl Winston.
Alice enjoyed her grandchildren and to keep up she joined Team Facebook, December 2016. She enjoyed church musicals and afternoon services. She had a selfless spirit that touched anyone that crossed her path. She would give the shirt off her back to help someone in need.
Alice leaves to cherish her precious memories, her four children; Evelyn R. Winston, Alecia McConnell (Tyran), Joseph Williams III (Sylvia) and Melissa K. Williams; three sisters, Ella Winston, Brenda Winston and Barbara Jones; one brother, James Winston, Jr.; twenty-two grandchildren, fifty-two great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at First Baptist Church of Quindaro 3030 Farrow Ave. KCK 66104. Visitation 9:00 A.M. Interment Leavenworth National Cemetery.
