Alan first saw the love of his life, Sondra Ellis at the Kansas City Hoop-Fest in the summer of 1990. They were married after four years of courtship on November 5, 1994. Three children were born to this union.
Alan was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and uncle. He truly loved his sons. He never missed any of their basketball, football, baseball games or track meets. He was a great supporter of the Palestine Track Club. He never met a stranger and enjoyed being a father figure to his sons’ friends. Alan was a very creative minded individual. He was articulate, funny, and intelligent.
Alan was quite the extrovert! He loved to dance, sing, play basketball, shop, garden, and remodel homes. He enjoyed working on cars and playing pool with his father. He adored his mother’s cooking, especially at Christmas time. Alan was a Grill Master and a food connoisseur. He loved fishing with his brother, sons, and friends.
Alan was called home to be with the Lord on September 18, 2018.
