Mrs. Zoritha D. McNeal

Obituary Zoritha D. McNeal was born on October 22, 1934, in Atkins, Arkansas to the parents of Alonzo and Elizabeth Ausler. She was the tenth of twelve children. She is preceded in death by her father and mother, brothers Delonious, Napoleon, Andrew, Johnny, Franklin, Bartholomew; sisters, Athalene, Irlene, Uilah, LaVerne; daughter; Jannie; great granddaughter Tenaeya; and great grandson Van. Zoritha started her education at Sullivan High school, in Arkansas and attended night school to complete her high school diploma at Westport High School, Kansas City, Missouri. She accepted Christ as her personal Savior at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church under the leadership of then Pastor Macrayary, in Happy Bend, Arkansas. On July 19, 1952 she married her high school sweetheart and soul mate, James A. McNeal Sr., to that union they had eight children. In 1955 they moved to Kansas City, Missouri. Zoritha was a member of Canaan Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor Robert B. Poe and current Pastor Tony D. Cobbins where she served on the Mother Board. She later moved her calling to Temple of Faith Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor John F. Payne and current Pastor Darren Faulkner where she served on the Mother Board and as a counselor. Zoritha was a State Certified Licensed Child Care Provider for over 30 years where she retired in 2001. She was a mother to all who knew her. Her love and passion for the Lord was shown through every moment of her life. Zoritha leaves to cherish her memories, her husband of 69 years, James A. McNeal Sr.; her brother Lee Ausler; Children: James Jr., Mark, William (Linda), Ada, Zoritha, Lonnell, Daniel; Grandchildren: Tara, Raunise, Zoretha, Deelah, Mary, James III, Mark, Angela, Juanita, Jimita, Nitasha, Mark Jr., Constance, Christina, De’Ron, Todd, Tiffany, Harry IV, Abram, Adarius, AuJanai, Christopher Jr., Jamesha, James Jr., Alan, Briana, Quameya, Raymontey, Lonnell Jr., Kyisha, Jermanie, DeAnthony, Danielle, Daniel, Teaonna, and a host of Great Grandchildren, Great-Great Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, Family, and Friends. Funeral Service will be held Thursday, December 2, 2021, 11:00am at Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapel. Interment Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held 10am-11am at the chapel.
