Obituary Beautiful, both inside and out and full of the joy of life, that was our “Landa”. Yolanda Ernice Gray was born on December 29, 1964, in Little Rock, Arkansas, the fifth child of Jesse and Opal Gray. Affectionately called “Landa”, the family matriculated from Little Rock to Kansas City during Yolanda’s early childhood years, where she attended elementary, junior and senior high school in the Kansas City school system graduating from Southwest High School. She thrived in her calling of helping others through her work as a Certified Nurse's Assistant working in the home health profession. She met the love of her life , her husband, Brent Colvon over twenty years ago. Yolanda was the loving mother of four children: Tony, Antoinette, Antwan and Essence. A committed wife, mother, sister and daughter, Yolanda’s family was her backbone, her heart and her strength. She was surrounded by love on every hand and to those who loved her most, the light of our precious Landa, will shine brightly in our hearts forever more. She was proceeded in death by her mother Opal Gray, her brother Darrel Gray, and both maternal and paternal grandparents. She leaves to celebrate and cherish her beautiful life, her husband, Brent Colvon; father, Jesse James Gray of the home; four children: Antonio Gray, Antoinette Gray, Antwan Gray, and Essence Gray; three brothers: Jesse, Jr., Terry Lynn (Bonnie), and Ronald Anthony of Kansas City, Missouri; four sisters: Beverly Jo (Alvino) Crawford of Grandview, MO, Valerie Lafaye (Marvin) of Kansas City, MO, Angela Rachelle (Terence) of Grandview, MO. and Gina Newton of California; nine grandchildren: Demond Jones Crawford, Benz Rey Murray Crawford, Enyce Murray Crawford, Mariha Gray, Shinya Gray, Jordan Gray, Mieyana Gray, Jada Sanders and Jaden Sanders; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral Service for Yolanda Ernice Gray will be held Saturday, January 27, 11:0 a.m. at New Life in Christ church, 12401 Byars Road, Grandview, Missouri. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Church. Interment, Twelve Gates Cemetery.
