Obituary MY LIFE “I was born by the river in a little tent and oh...Just like the river I been running ever since.” If you know me, you know that was one of my favorite songs. So, it is only right I start y’all out with a few lines from Old Sam Cooke. I, Thompson (Jefferson, Pockets, Lovechild) Love, Jr. was born on December 1st, 1955, in the city of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The first and oldest son to my beautiful Mother Ella Williams and my Father Thompson Love, Sr. My father, as you all know passed away when I was a very small child. So, unfortunately, I never had the opportunity to know the great man I was always told he was. But, I did have a father by the name of Lee C. Haynes. Lee came into my life sometime after mom, my sister Lynda Anderson (Ronnie) and brother Eric Williams (Lisa) and I moved to Kansas City, Mo in 1970. He never left us from that time, and he has been the best father I could ever have. I attended Southeast High School in KCMO and graduated with the class of 1974. During high school I ran track and joined the bowling club at the age of 15. It was here that my love for Bowling started. From high school I would go on to bowl at a more professional level. I was part of the 300 Bowling Club. I bowled in leagues and tournaments for Lucky Strike, Bowling for Dollars with Fred Broski, and the Southeastern Bowling Association. I won several 1st place trophies and numerous prizes, including a brand-new car. Anyone who knows me knows my love for bowling never ended. I loved it till the end! I had my first child my oldest son Kevin L. Madge in 1972. In 1981, my oldest daughter, “My Puddin” Thomasean Renae Broom was born. Then in 1982 a short few months later came my baby Nichole Williams (Javan Sr.) Later in life I met Emma Wells(deceased). She had 3 children Devon, Rodney(deceased) and Shana Wells whom I raised and loved as my own. My youngest daughter Tierre Ciara Michelle Boykin was born in 2007. My children blessed me with 17 beautiful grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. Shaquria Haynes, Justice (Juddie) Bailey, Kevin L. Madge Jr., Nicholas Williams, Tyree Madge, Javan Williams Jr., Ronald Owens III, Seanthomas Lee Owens, LaKyiah Shelton, Amya Williams, Mariah Williams, Samirah Coppage, Samarion Wells, Darion Myrick and Shaquria Haynes (great-grand). Through them the “LOVECHILD’S” name will continue to live on. I know this is hard right now me not being there with you. I had a good run y’all! I lived 65 years on this Earth before God called me back home and BOY did, I have fun while I was here! Spending time with my uncles Granville Williams, Reginald Gatlin and my aunts Joyce Hill and Gwendolyn Ballard growing up was some of my fondest memories. As much as I want to be there with Mother, my lady Zenobia Boykin, my children, my cousins, countless nieces, and nephews right now singing, barbecuing, and having a good ole time on the block, like we have done for the last 50 years, God called said he needed me home. I may not be there physically but, you all have the memories that we shared together. I was part of the 300 club in bowling but, now I am bowling on the Lords League. I’m going to use these hands to prepare a meal for my Father Thompson Love Sr and do some catching up. So, you see it is not all sad. I LOVE YOU all and it’s not goodbye… I’LL SEE YA LATER.
