Terry Lee Triplett

Obituary Terry Lee Triplett, late son of the William Triplett and Julia Bratton was born on September 5, 1948 in Kansas City, Kansas. He Graduated from Paseo High School and soon married his former wife, Vera Gant. From that union, two children were born; and of those children, 4 grandchildren were birthed. Terry was drafted into the U.S Army shorty after the birth of his first child where he fought in the Vietnam war until he was honorably discharged in 1971. He relished in being a Veteran. After returning from combat, he accepted a job at Businessmen’s Assurance Company (BMA) as a Computer Operator where he enjoyed working for over 30 years until he retired. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. His giving Spirit touched all those he met. In his prime, he partied hard with his friends. He enjoyed grilling, playing dominos, and traveling to Las Vegas, Nevada. He always got excited telling us stories about the great bands he got to see play live as well as the great food he ate at the buffets. He also loved listening to music, watching classic movies, sports, and was a die-hard Chiefs fan. Terry’s children and grandchildren were his greatest joy. He loved watching them grow in every phase of their life. He was proud of all their achievements and loved telling everyone about them. He loved being a father and a grandfather. Terry was preceded in death by his mother, father, and brother Michael Triplett. He was a selfless, honorable man that will be missed by all who knew him. He leaves to cherish his memory: his son, Terence Triplett (Angela) of Grandview MO; his daughter, Demetra Triplett of Blue Springs Mo; his grandchildren, Terrion O’Bryant, Quan, Keshawn and Terence Triplett; his sister, Deborah Hauer (Robert) of Blue Springs, MO; his brother Mark Triplett of Raytown, MO, a host of nieces, other relatives, friends, and his special friend, Valoree Smith. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Watkins Heritage Chapel 4000 Emanuel Cleaver Blvd. II Kansas City, Missouri 64130.
