Ms. Terri Renee Neal

Terri Renee Neal departed this life on June 7, 2024 in Kansas City, Missouri. She entered this life on December 26, 1966 in Kansas City to the late Alphonso Neal and Nancy Jones. She was the second child born to this union. Her father and brother preceded her in death. She is survived by her mother, aunts, uncle, cousins, and friends. Terri was a loyal and faithful member of Macedonia Baptist Church. She was active in the church and often spoke about how much she loved her church and church family. Terri was a lifelong resident of Kansas City, MO where she graduated from Lincoln Academy for Accelerated Studies in 1985. While in California, Terri attended California State University, Long Beach where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Pan African Studies. Terri returned to Kansas City where she earned a Master of Arts degree from Webster University. Terri was passionate about working with children. Eleven years ago, Terri landed her dream job as Director of Human Resources at Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City Crittenton Children’s Center. She also volunteered with Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) House as a Special Advocate for children who experienced neglect and abuse. Terri was well respected and made a significant impact on the lives of the children, families, and her colleagues. Terri’s manager said, “Terri was honest, authentic, and so very funny. I will miss her thoughtfulness, passion for the kids at Crittenton and the laugher she brought to our team.” Terri was also known to be loyal, wise, generous, sensitive, and genuine. Terri was a travel enthusiast. She visited California, Chicago, Las Vegas, New York, Dubai, Egypt, Jamaica, Mexico; and planned to travel to South Africa. Terri looked forward to her annual trip to Branson with her mother to celebrate her birthday. She cherished the beautiful memories she shared with her mother. Terri also loved her Zumba sisters! She spoke highly of her “Zumba girls” and their events together. She shared how much she valued their sisterhood and memories created together. She gave her all to her family, friends, co-workers, and community and will be sorely missed. However, we know she is looking down at us with admiration Funeral services Friday, June 21, 2024, 11:00am at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. Interment Mount Moriah Cemetery. Visitation 10:00am - 11:00am at the church. Services conducted by Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapel. Condolence may be shared on our website.
