Teresa Cunningham

Obituary Teresa Cunningham was born on October 1, 1958 to the union of Bennie and Jeffrie Lee Murray. She was the ninth child of thirteen. Teresa had seven sisters and five brothers. As a child, she was full of life. She enjoyed being in school talent shows and was a member of the 4-H club. Educated in the public school’s system, Teresa attended Lincoln College Preparatory Academy High School and went on to complete her studies at Fairfax Learning Center. She began to pursue a career in customer service and worked as a Logistics Operator for Vince and Associates Clinical Research at the time of her passing. Teresa was a devoted, faithful wife and mother. She was united in marriage to Jerry Cunningham in the summer of 1982. From this union came three children; Crystal Cunningham, Jerry Dwayne Cunningham II and Amanda Cunningham. Teresa was a mother and grandmother to every child she met. She loved children and babies and they loved her too. In her free time, Teresa loved spending time with her family and friends, having barbecues, playing cards, dancing and just having fun. She also enjoyed traveling, shopping and doing new things. She was the life of the party, a fun, outgoing person that loved to laugh and have a good time. She was a kind, sweet, funny and loving person that never knew a stranger. She was a blessing to all that knew her. Teresa gave her life to Christ at an early age and was baptized at Canaan Baptist Church. She went on to attend Canaan Worship Center where she became a member. She is preceded in death by her parents; Bennie and Jeffrie Lee Murray, her siblings; Bernie, Jean, Raydean, Roger, Gregory, Sharon and Cherita. She leaves behind to cherish her memory; her husband of 36 years, Jerry Cunningham; her son Jerry Cunningham II, both of Kansas City, Kansas; two daughters, Amanda Cunningham of Kansas City, Kansas and Crystal Cunningham of Kansas City, Missouri; brothers, Dexter Murray of Kansas City, Missouri and Carl Murray of Grandview, Missouri; sisters, Beverly Murray of Dallas, Texas, Denise Simpson of Los Angeles, California and Shirley Murray-Patterson of Kansas City, Missouri, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
