Ms. Stephanie Hill

Obituary Stephanie V. Hill was born on March 30, 1959, in Kansas City, Missouri to Gwendolyn Tyler and Cornelius Jackson. Stephanie known by family and friends as Stef or Steffer attended Central High School (class of 1977) and Penn Valley Community College for nursing. Stephanie worked at Quincy Research Center and United BioSource (UBC) for over twenty years, until her health began to fail her. She retired in 2009. In 1976, Stephanie was united in marriage to David Carter. To this union two daughters, Terri and Jovanna, were born. Even after their divorce, David and Stephanie remained each other’s best friend and touchstone throughout until her demise. She was also a beloved mother to two bonus sons, Darron and Andre. Stephanie was a devoted mother, grandmother and loyal friend. Nothing brought more joy to her heart than spending time with her grandchildren, especially for the holidays. She loved her Kansas City Chiefs no matter how good or bad they played. She was a music enthusiast. She was a lover of all musical genres (Country, Jazz, Rhythm and Blues, Classical, Gospel, Soul, etc.). She LOVED her music! We must not forget her old movies. She spent countless hours watching her OLD movies! Stephanie was a very comical person. She could keep you laughing for hours, cracking jokes and telling stores. She will sorely be missed by her family and those who knew her. Stephanie was preceded in death by both parents and one brother, Benjamin Tyler (Sharon). Left to cherish her memories, two daughters, Terri Carter (Macy and Jovanna Schlossenberg (Brian); four brothers, Robert Tyler, Jeffery Tyler (Trayce), Gregory Williams (Barbara), Sean Tyler (Konya); three sisters, Brenda Tyler, Eyvette Tyler-Carter (Warren) and Kathryn Bell Fuller all of Kansas City, Missouri; her best friend/sister, Twyla Fauntleroy (David) of Raytown, Missouri; five grandchildren, Terrance, Taylor, Bryan, Danielle and Chase; three special nieces, Aubrey Tyler, Jennifer Richardson (Anthony) and Adiah Fauntleroy; her furry family member, Milk (her cat) and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, family and friends. Cherished memories will forever live in the hearts of her family and friends. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, November 13, 2021, 11:00am at Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapel.
