Ms. Shirlmarie Calvert

Shirlmarie, was born on October 1st 1986 in Kansas City Kansas to Bruce and Shirley Calvert. She was proceeded in death by Bruce Calvert, her dad, and siblings, Steven Bruce, Calvin Bruce, Dorothea Louise, and Isaac James Calvert. Her grandparents, Dorothy Crockett, Isaac Calvert, Theodore Davis Jr. , and Mary Davis. Shirlmarie, attended schools in Topeka Kansas, and upon moving to Kansas City Missouri she attended the Job corps in Puxico Missouri, because that's where her dad went to high school. She finished her educational training to become a CNA from Job corps and received her high school diploma in 2004. She love to sing and write draw and paint, she gave her life to Christ at an early age, was baptized at Eastside Church of God in Christ in Topeka Kansas pastor Ben Scott. She started singing in the church choir at 2 years old. She would often say Mama,"I was fearfully and wonderfully made "(Psalm 139:14),serving the Lord with her whole heart in her youth. In 2006 she the ministry, singing in the church choir at victory outreach Kansas City Missouri as well as driving for the church while going to California Chicago and Iowa. Shirlmarie lived, in Los Angeles California in ministry leadership training for 2 years as well. Then she joined, Christian fellowship ministries. She has various jobs opening up the Lamar donut shop in overland Park on Johnson drive. She worked as a security officer various sites around Kansas City Missouri and Kansas, She worked with a school board in Missouri school district in the cafeteria with her aunt Kathy. And she worked as a night auditor in various hotels in Kansas and Missouri, retiring in December 2021, due to her health. Shirlmarie was very good at organizing and decorating for special events with the church and weddings and baby showers and birthday parties and engagement parties she love to do those things for other people. But most of all Shirlmarie's Love for children especially her little cousins was special. Everytime you saw her she had somebody's child or children..... She will truly be missed by all who had the opportunity to know her the On February 5th 2026 she took her usual nap after breakfast, and gave her last breath back to God. It has been a long journey, she needed a kidney she's suffered, one too many strokes and went o sleep. She's resting in peace now. No more dialysis treatments no more knee pain, no more sciatic nerve pain, stagnating her mobility, no more walkers no more wheelchairs no more needle sticks no more pills morning noon and night no more restricted diet no more watching her baby grow up and not being able to participate. Ohh....but, when Jesus comes she will rise in a new body no more pain no more tears no more sickness it will all be gone, so sleep dear, till we meet again. Shirlmarie leaves to cherish her loving memory mother Shirley Calvert Vickers, Daughter Jordann Calvert, Uncles, Aunties, Cousins, Relatives and Friends.
