Mrs. Shirley G. Pearson

Shirley Gene Pearson was born on February 4, 1951, in Mound Bayou, Mississippi, to Helen and Eugene Royster Sr. From the very beginning, she brought love, strength, and light into the lives of everyone around her. Shirley was a woman whose presence could comfort a room, and whose love for her family and friends was felt deeply by all who knew her. Throughout her life, Shirley was known for her kindness, wisdom, grace, and unwavering strength. She dedicated more than 30 years of faithful service at the Federal Building in Kansas City, Missouri, where she built lasting friendships and earned the respect of many through her hard work, integrity, and caring spirit. Shirley took pride in everything she did and carried herself with dignity, compassion, and love. Shirley was a devoted wife to Lynn Pearson for 55 wonderful years, sharing a life built on love, commitment, and cherished memories. She loved countless lives through her laughter, guidance, warm heart, and unforgettable presence. Whether through a conversation, a smile, or simply being there when someone needed her, Shirley made everyone feel loved and valued. Shirley leaves behind a beautiful legacy that will continue to live on through all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her daughters, Alicia Powell (James) and Nicole Thrash (Anthony); her siblings, Lorraine Dean (Louis), Eugene Royster Jr. (Carolyn), Joyce Williams (Jerry), Sharon Clark, Frederick Clark Sr. (Sherry), Dennis Clark (Eula), Cathy Parsons, and Teddy Tyron Parsons (Selena); and her grandchildren Jasmyne Pearson (Dakota), Brittney Glin (Ricky), Bry'Ann Richardson (Mark), Bryant Glin (Deja), Willie Tolon, Arionne Thrash, and Kenneth Dickinson. Shirley was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lynn Pearson; her brothers, Danny Clark and Stanley E. Clark. Though she will be deeply missed, Shirley's spirit, memories, and the love she shared will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her.
