Obituary Life Reflections Sharon West-Elam was born September 7, 1957 to Lida D. West and Tillman West Sr. in Kansas City, Missouri. She transitioned from this life on Saturday, May 8th, 2021. She was preceded in death by both parents, 2 brothers Tillman West Jr., and Don West; a nephew Michael West and her husband Eddie Mack Elam. Sharon was educated in the Kansas City, Missouri Public School System graduating from Paseo High School in 1975. During her Senior year in High School she took additional training by attended the KC Area Vocational Technical School where she trained as a Data Entry/Keypunch Operator. After graduating she attended Penn Valley Community College, Kansas City Missouri. Sharon was employed for many years with TWA as a Data Entry Operator and was later employed with Sprint for many years; She held various positions throughout her working career and most recently she worked as a Home Healthcare Provider where she enjoyed caring for others until her passing. She accepted Christ at an early age, she loved attending church service. Sharon was a member of Trinity Temple C.O.G.I.C. and she loved her church, but most of all she truly Loved the Lord. On May 20, 2011 Sharon was united in marriage to the love of her life Eddie Mack Elam, she and her husband enjoyed traveling around the world until his illness. She was a loving and dedicated wife caring for him during his illness until his passing. Sharon always loved to travel and she enjoyed cruises. She had a love for dogs, and she truly adored her two dogs West and Mack, those were her “babies” as she lovingly called them. Sharon loved to cook, but she love to spend time with her friends and going out to eat. She leaves to cherish her memory, two sisters: Jacqueline Wilson, Carmen Annette Foster; one brother; Hubert West; a nephew; Louis Wilson, Jr. (Danielle); two nieces; Alicia Rambo (Howard), Deonnah West; two great-nieces; LaShayla Anderson (Brandon), Laila Anderson; one great nephew; Louis Wilson, III. A special Life-Long Friend Yvonne Woodley, and a host of other cousins, relatives and friends. Funeral services will held next Wednesday, June 2, 2021, 11:00am at Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapel. Interment XII Gates Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 10am-11am at the chapel. Service conducted by Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapel.
