Ronald E. Daigle

Obituary Ronald E. Daigle was born on June 4, 1942 to L. Stanley and Elizabeth (Caldwell) Daigle in Jefferson City, Missouri and transitioned from this life on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 in Kansas City, Missouri. Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Stanley. Ronald was raised in Jefferson City, Missouri, educated in Kansas City, Missouri and became a proud graduate of Central High School, Class of 1959, “Home of the Mighty Blue Eagles.” Ronald was affectionately nicknamed “Ronnie.” Ronnie continued his education by attending the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas where he earned both bachelor’s and master’s degrees. After he earned his degrees from KU, Ronnie gained employment with the City of Kansas City Missouri, where he proudly worked in many areas of the city, for approximately 56 years. Ronnie was a long time member of the Ward Chapel AME Church in Kansas City, Missouri. He had a great love for music and enjoyed attending the Kansas City Symphony and many musical concerts. He sang in the church choir, directed the choir and sang with the Fellowship Quartet and with other musical groups. He enjoyed KU football games and when he was younger he traveled with a bowling team. He leaves to cherish his memories to many cousins, Barnett (Estralita) Smith, Jr., Barnett (Sherry) Smith, III, Sharon Smith Badgett (daughter Taylor), Trey Smith, all of Atlanta, Georgia; Carolyn W. Cameron, Alicia (Doc IV) Netterville, all of Kansas City, Missouri; Doc (Porsha) Netterville V. (Doc & Dex), Cameron Netterville, Kelsey Netterville, Thomas Netterville of Kansas City, Missouri, Helen Rouce of Washington D.C., Inman Rouce of Oakland, California, Rebecca Caldwell of Washington, D.C., Ryan (Paula) Watson, Scarlett Watson, Vivian Watson, Cole Watson, Morgan Parker, all of Overland Park, Kansas and a host of church friends, co-workers and neighbors. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at Ward Chapel AME Church 2126 Prospect Kansas City, Mo. 64127.
