Obituary Rev. Robert J Birch Jr., 82, Transitioned May 6, 2021 at St. Luke Hospital in K.C. MO. Robert was born September 4, 1938 to Robert J. Birch Sr. and Camilla Corbin. Robert Joe grew up in Kansas City Missouri. Robert joined the Army in 1957. While serving in the Military, Robert finished High School. He served 8 yrs., and was discharged in 1966. He begins working for various companies include driving the school bus, Oakwood Country Club, and Arrowhead Stadium (Chiefs) doing security for over 30 yrs. After retiring 30yrs., Robert went back to work for St Louis Catholic Church, and St. Monica Catholic Church part time security. Robert married Rosa L. Jacobs in 1966 in K.C. Mo. They were happily married for 54 yrs. He loved reading his “Bible”, grilling, fishing, traveling, dancing, and being the neighborhood watch. He listens to all types of music and love singing them. One of his favor songs to sing to Rosa was, “One in Million”. In 1989 Robert was ordained into the ministry, as a child of God!!! At the Holy Mission of Israel Church located in K.C.K. Robert was preceded in death by Father Robert SR., Mother Camilla, Sister Ruby Hemphill, Nephews Eric & Dexter Hemphill, and special cousin George E. Birch. Robert leaves to cherish his memory his spouse Rosa of K.C, MO; Three sons, Noah & Carl Birch, and Darryl Norton (daughter in law Dawn) of K.C. MO; A special daughter Carla Johnson; Spiritual daughter Sis Linda; his baby sister Bobbie Jean Brown (D. Brown); Bother in law Phillip Jacob (his wife Johnnie Mae); Sister in laws Wilma Goodrich & Connie Jacobs, and host of grandchildren, Great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 30, 2021, 3:00pm at Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapel. Interment will be held Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2pm-3pm at the chapel. Service conducted by Lawrence A. Jones Funeral Chapel. Condolences may be shared on our website.
