Mother Evangelist Corina C (Coleman) Brown

Obituary Corina (Coleman) Brown was born March 22, 1947, in Clarksdale, Mississippi, to Rosetta Brown Coleman and Robert Coleman. She is the youngest daughter born of this union. She married Nathan Brown and moved to Kansas City, Missouri in 1961. To this union, one son, Michael, was born. This union was later dissolved. After earning her General Education Diploma, Corina attended the Metropolitan Community College, majoring in Office Management Studies. Corina was a strong willed, loving, and wise woman. She was such a special person who would help anyone. She was a single mother who worked for various companies. She was blessed to retire from the State of Missouri as a Cook. She enjoyed cooking, shopping, traveling and spending time with her family. Among these, she was a member of the "Silver Sneakers" at the Cleaver YMCA. It was here she met and friended many people. Corina united with Kimball Missionary Baptist Church in Kansas City, Kansas, under the pastorate of the late Rev. J. J. Brown. She served in the choir and was a Sunday School teacher. Later, she moved her membership to Landmark International Deliverance and Worship Center under the pastorate of Bishop John L. Brown, Sr. She was a devout member for 29 years and served as a Licensed Missionary, Licensed Evangelist, Prayer Warrior and was on the Mothers' Board. She is preceded in death by both parents; one sister, Rosetta Adams; one brother, Cornelius "Babe" Jones; and one great-grandson, Robin Q. Strother. Corina departed this life peacefully at her home September 15, 2021. She is survived by her six children: Michael Anthony Brown, Barbara Ann Brown, Peter Brown, Cardell Dwight Brown, Melvin LaMont Brown (of the home) and Marquail LaMon Brown, all of Kansas City, Missouri; eight grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, one great great-grandson, all of Kansas City, Missouri; three brothers, Julius Jones (Bernice), Joseph Coleman, Jessie Coleman (Rhonda) all of Indianapolis, IN; one sister, Lueriner Green of Brooklyn, NY; one special daughter, Lecrecia Nicole Ross; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 11 am at New Landmark non-denominational Church located 8701 Sni - A Bar Road KCMO. Visitation 9 am. Interment XII Gates Memorial Gardens.
