Ms. Miko D. McIntosh, 49, took flight and entered eternal rest on April 2, 2025, at Menorah Medical Center in Overland Park, Kansas surrounded by her loving family. Miko was richly loved and cherished as a mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many and truly leaves behind a legacy of love and wisdom. She was born on August 26, 1975, in Kansas City, Missouri. She was the middle daughter of Arthur Hillmon and Lover Jean McIntosh. She was welcomed into the gates of heaven by both parents; a granddaughter, Harmony Lawyer; a nephew, Antonio McIntosh; a great niece, India Roath; along with several other beloved family members. From an early age, Miko accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and was once a member of ALF Church under the fellowship of Pastor Gregory E. Walker. Her faith and spirituality were integral parts of her life. Miko brought so much joy and laughter to all who had the pleasure of knowing her, truly embodying the spirit of the life of the party with her humor, funny and caring nature and always had a smile that would light up any room. Miko loved hanging with family, talking on the phone, playing cards, dominoes and frequent visits to the casino all activities that showcased her competitive spirit and sociability. She was educated in the Kansas City, Missouri school district before graduating from De La Selle High School. She furthered her education at the University of Missouri, which paved the way for a successful career in the insurance industry. At the time of her passing, she was employed by Farmers Insurance, a position which she held since February 14, 2022. Miko leaves behind a loving family who loved her dearly, her seven children, Marte; Andre; Brinisha; Brian McIntosh; Harmon Harmonik; and Marco Lawyer; sixteen grandchildren; Marte Jr.; Tay’mon; Hailey; A’brielle; Haiden; Domonik; Denver; Cairo; Shaion; Jolie, Koi; Ceh’Lanni, Harlie; Mina; Har’ Lanni; and Harlen; two sisters, Collene Fristoe (Marck); and Bobbie Jones (Quadrick); one brother; James McIntosh Sr; one aunt, Hazel Johnson Jackson; two uncles, Willie; and Richard Hillmon; six nieces, Ciera; Kiera; Larnesha; Larnajah; Collene; and Shonta; seven nephews, Cortell; Larnell; Tyrell (aka Her Biggs); Marc; Cedric; James Jr.; and Quadrick Jr; a special sister/cousin, Trisha Rushing; BFF, Christy Watkins; Willina Drizzle; and Angela Barnett; along with a host of other family; and friends. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday April 12, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Watkins Heritage Chapel 4000 Emanuel Cleaver II Blvd. KCMO 64130. Interment: Twelve Gates Memorial Gardens.
