Mrs. Mary A. Reese

Obituary The sweet life of Mary Anne began on March 18, 1950 in Brinkley, Arkansas to the union of Fred Walton and Mathis Tee Williams-Walton. She will be reunited with her parents Fred Walton and Mathis T. Walton, son Robert Reese, Jr. and sister Freddie Mae in the Kingdom of God. Mary Anne attended Marian Anderson High School located in Brinkley, AR., where she attained high school diploma. Mary Anne moved to Kansas City, MO. in 1968. There she met, fell in love, and married her Husband Robert Reese of 49 years. Two children were born to this union, Jeannette and Robert Reese, Jr. Mary Anne accepted Christ at an early age. She was a faithful member of This Rock Christian Tabernacle Church. She served in the kitchen and on the Mothers Board until she entered into the presence of the majesty of God on Thursday, November 24, 2022, the day of Thanksgiving. We are thankful for her new body, her crown, and beautiful wings. Mary Anne worked at Truman Medical Center for over 20 years as the supervisor of Environmental Services. She later retired in 2013. If you knew Mary Anne then you knew she was a “sewing sista”; making many of the families wedding dresses, prom dresses and even the choir robes for the church. Sewing and cooking was her God given talent and passion, as well as what she loved and enjoyed doing. Can we talk about the dressing skills she possessed, the swag, the style, never leaving the house without looking like the diva she was, and the way her nails were always on point. She leaves to cherish her most precious memories; her husband, Robert Reese, daughter, Jeannette Reese, both of Kansas City, MO., daughter, Catrice McNeely of Virginia, three wonderful grandchildren; Robert Reese, III, Alexander Reese and Layla Manning all of Kansas City, MO., special daughter; Ebony Ford of Kansas City, MO., two brothers: Paul (Diana) Walton of Brinkley, AR; and Tom (Paulette) Walton of West Memphis, AR; four sisters: Mathetta Walton of Cleveland, OH, Verniece Nunn of Little Rock, AR: Mable James of Brinkley, AR; and Verlean Walton-Brooks of Dallas, TX; siblings in law, Bishop George W. (Mary) Reese Jr., Ronald Reese, Steven (Joy) Reese, LuRue (Dan) Ashley, James Turner, all of Kansas City, MO. Best friend of 21 years Roxann May and a host of loving family and friends. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, December 10, 2022, 11:00am at Mt. Calvary COGIC. Interment XII Gates Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 9am-11am at the church.
