Mrs. Martha L. Palton

Obituary Martha Lee Palton was born on August 20, 1938 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. She was born to Henry and Eva Mayfield. She was the fourth of 12 children. She attended school in Bald Hill,Oklahoma. Martha worked at the Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas City Royal in the service industry for over 40 years. Martha attended the West Minister Baptist Church until her health started to fail. Martha enjoyed her family, reminiscing about her childhood. Martha was a joy to be around. She was the perfect host in any occasion. Martha also loved watching tv and going to the casinos. Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Eva Mayfield, brothers Henry Jr, James Mayfield and Arvin Mayfield. One sister Lydia Cornwell. Martha was married to Ulesley Palton for over 45 years. She was the stepmother to all of 5 of his children, Martha had 4 children, Diane Kendrick, who proceeded her in death, Janice Kendrick Jones, Ollie C Kendrick, Jr and Venita (Jerry) Edwards. Martha had 1 grandchild, Shiane Edwards. Shiane was the apple of her eye. Martha leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Ulesley Palton of the home, her children Janice Kendrick of Kansas City Missouri. Ollie Kendrick,of Omaha Nebreska and Venita Edwards of Kansas City Missouri and only grandchild Shiane Edwards of Kansas City Missouri. She also leaves to find joy in her memory 7 siblings. Dorothy Durant of Seattle, Washington, Rose Draper of Haskell Oklahoma, Mildred Mayfield of Haskell Oklahoma, Etta Mayfield of Haskell Oklahoma, Gennie Smith of Tulsa Oklahoma, and Lonnie Mayfield of Okmulgee, Oklahoma. In addiction, she leaves her double cousin Jerline "Polly" Ross to cherish her memory. She leaves a host of nieces and nephews,cousins and friends. A memorial service will be at the grave site on Forest Hill at 6901 Troost in Kansas City, Missouri on Monday, August 09 at 01:00pm The visitation will be at Lawrence A. Jones Funeral Home on Sunday, May 8th from 01:00pm to 03:00pm. Service conducted by Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapel. Condolences may be shared our website.
