Ms. Marshalia Walker

Obituary “Chell” as we all knew her, transition so suddenly, so quickly, so young, yet God had full control over her forty-six years in this lifetime. Chell was a kind spirit, outspoken and bold. The loudest voice in the room. She went unheard growing up being the baby of the bunch. She was spoiled rotten always happy and with a smile. “Buster” the family dog loved him some Chell too. They played day in day out. She was very family oriented since a kid. She enjoyed shopping with her Mom and picnicking with her Dad. Those were the fun times she had. Marshalia graduated from Southwest High School in Kansas City, Missouri. She didn’t attend any school activities, but dancing was her thing, as well as singing, playing spades, running the table. Later in life she grew a passion for helping others. Her calling was in the medical field becoming a CNA even tried getting her CMT. Her last place of employment was Meyers Nursing Home in Kansas City, Missouri. Marshalia met her tenderoni who then became her husband Henry Dewayne Walker. She started her own family became a union and birthed their first child Shannel Marie, shortly after came Tannel Nicole, was even blessed with a son Vernell Lois Dewayne. Marshalia and Henry moved their family to Springfield, Missouri leaving the city girl behind almost becoming a country woman. Chell wasn’t one to stay put, a few years later she moved to Anadarko, Oklahoma where she gave birth to her baby boy Darnell Marchell Henderson. No matter the distance, miles, hours away, Marshalia loved her four children. Chell was preceded in death by her parents Lois and Vernice Henderson, sister Gloria Reed, all maternal grandparents, six uncles, one aunt. Chell leaves to cherish her memories: husband, Henry Walker; four children, Shannel, Tannel, Vernell Walker and Darnell Henderson; brothers, Vancil (Carolyn) White of Kansas City, Kansas, Nolan White of Kansas City, Kansas, Michael (Isabell) Henderson of Kansas City, Missouri, Steven (Sheryl) Henderson of Belton, Missouri, Alphonso Henderson of Kansas City, Missouri, Michael Goff of Kansas City, Missouri and Cedric Mayo of Kansas City, Missouri; sisters, Angela (Terrance) Robinson of Kansas City, Missouri, Tina Henderson (Dewayne Sykes), LaTonya King of Dallas, Texas; nine nephews, nine nieces, twelve great nephews, eight great nieces and two great great nieces and a host of other relatives, family and friends. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, December 11, 2021, 11:00am at Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapel. Private Disposition. Visitation will be from 10am-11am at the chapel.
