Ms. Margo Williams

Margo Anita Williams was born on November 16, 1946, in Kansas City, Missouri. She graduated from Central High School with the Class of 1964 going on to further educate herself with some college. Margo was one of seven children and was preceded in death by her mother, Louise Chapman and four siblings: Gregory Chapman, Cheryl Thomas. Charles Thomas and Rueben Thomas. Margo is lovingly survived by her three children, Conrad Parker (Courtney), Toni Walker, and Tammie Parker; eight grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren; two brothers, Michael Chapman (Deborah) and Freddy Chapman; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends. Margo was married during different seasons of her life. While those chapters ended, she found her greatest happiness surrounded by her children and grandchildren sharing a special bond with her grandson, Rashaud and her fur baby Cuddles who preceded her. Margo was a hardworking, independent woman who dedicated more than 25 years of service to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) before retiring. After retiring, she remained active by working for 10 years part-time with the Hickman Mills school district as a school bus monitor for special needs children, which was her passion. Margo cared for both her mother and her sister during their time of need. She cared for them with compassion, patience, and unwavering devotion. She also opened her home to her nephews sharing love, support and guidance leading them into adulthood. Family was important to Margo, inspiring her to host many traditional Thanksgiving dinners creating memories that will last forever. Margo gave her life to Christ in the early 1990s at Pentecostal Church of God in Christ where she was a member many years under the leadership of the late Bishop Danial M. Jordan. Her outward evidence of her faith was clear by the fruit of the spirit that radiated as she served on the usher board and in her giving, as unto the Lord. Serving and giving remained her core pillars of guiding light throughout the fullness of her life. Margo will be remembered for her humor, strength, humility, generosity, faith, and unconditional love. She did not care about fanfare, but she cared deeply for people. Margo did not live for grand monuments; she lived a life of quite strength that egos kindness that will shape our lives forever. “Well done, good and faithful servant… Enter into the joy of your Lord.” Matthew 25:23 Funeral Services will be held on Friday July 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Lawrence A.
