Mrs. Linrose Wright

Mrs. Linrose Wright, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away on July 18, 2025, at K. U. Medical Center. Mrs. Linrose Wright was born September 21st, 1939, to the late Mr. Charles and Janie Williams in Sumner, Mississippi. She attended Sumner West Public Schools. Linrose accepted Christ at an early age and was a longtime member of Bethlehem-Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Kansas City, Missouri, under the pastoral leadership of Reverend Cleveland Buford. She faithfully served in several church auxiliaries, exemplifying a life of faith and service. Linrose was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Cleotha Wright Sr., and they shared a beautiful union of 50 years before his passing. Together, they were blessed with five children. Linrose was a devoted and nurturing caregiver, deeply committed to her family, and known for her generous spirit and creative talents. Linrose had a passion for life’s simple joys—fishing, baking, knitting, and sewing. She possessed both an artistic eye and a green thumb, designing home décor, sewing clothing, and quilts, arranging beautiful floral displays, and tending a flourishing and vibrant garden. Her handmade creations were admired by many and often featured in arts and crafts shows. showcasing her eye for detail and craftsmanship. She also had a keen interest in antiques and interior design, filling her home with warmth, beauty, and history. Family was at the center of Linrose’s life. She was a pillar of strength and love, always offering her time, wisdom, and heartfelt support. Holidays were made magical under her care, especially the 4th of July and Christmas. Whether she was teaching loved ones to drive or fish, styling hair, sharing healing remedies, or simply lending an ear, Linrose gave of herself wholeheartedly and selflessly. Linrose peacefully departed this life at KU Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cleotha Wright Sr.; her son, Cleotha Wright Jr.; great-grandson, Mesiah King; and three brothers, Otha Mack Williams; Charles Williams Jr.; and Johnny Williams. She leaves to cherish her memory one beloved sister, Essie Lee of Webb, Mississippi; her children, June King; Patricia James (Pastor Rupert Sr.); Paul Wright; and Carolyn Jackson (Clifford); grandchildren, Lachaundra Bell (Kevin); Antrion Lee; Charvez K. Williams (Angela); Rakisha James; Martwan Porter; Rashay James; Jody Joyner; Rupert James Jr. (Tamashika); Bobby King Jr. (Arnel); and Onika Jackson; great-grandchildren, Donovan James; Da'Yonna Murray; Nevaeh King; Rahmon Allen; TJ Porter; Titus Kyles-James; Alijah King; Derriyah Joyner; Charvez A Williams; Isabell Klimek; Zaria James; and Omega Jackson; and her great-great grandchildren, Layla James; and De'Arra Johnson all of Kansas City, Missouri; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends. Linrose Wright’s legacy of love, creativity, and service will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She was truly a blessing, and her light will continue to shine through the generations she nurtured and inspired. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday August 2, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Heaven Sent Missionary Baptist Church 9511 East 59th Street Raytown, MO. Interment: Longview Memorial Gardens.
