Ms. LaPearl Rollins Nevils

Obituary With profound sadness we announce the passing of LaPearl Nevils, our loving and devoted mother and friend to all whose lives she touched. She was with family at NKC Hospital when she passed on January 27th, 2022. La Pearl Rollins Nevils was born October 31, 1942 to Ennis Rollins and Lille Fay Bernice Rollins. She is preceded in death by both her parents, daughter Shirley Jean Miller, brothers: Lonnie Rollins, Ennis Rollins Jr, Carl Edward Rollins, sisters: Shirley Fowler King, Eva Rollins-Jenkins, Viola Dunbar. LaPearl accepted Christ as her Lord & Savior at a very young age and she attended Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Smithville, Missouri. Her life was a living example of one of her favorite bible verses Ephesians 4:32- “ And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another just as God also forgave you in Christ. She had a servant’s heart. She attended Donnelly College where she received her License of Practical Nursing and worked throughout the community in the local Hospitals. Pearl was united in marriage to Robert Lee Miller and to this union was Shirley Jean Miller and Robert Lee Miller, Jr. She also has another daughter Elizann Davis. She was also united in marriage to James Nevils and no children born to this union. Pearl has a radiant smile that lift up any room and her personality was always positive and uplifting. LaPearl did not hold back her opinion and had a knack for telling it like it is. She exuded a giving generous spirit, and she would give you the last dollar she had if she knew you needed it. Pearls favorite past time was visiting with her friends, talking and praying over the phone, spending time with her great grand babies and grandchildren. She never ended a conversation without saying God bless or remember God is good all the time and all the time God is good, you have a blessed day. She had a passion for baking, and she shared that love with her family, she was known for her “Famous Walnut Brownies and her Cherry Cheesecakes. “ Pearl leaves behind her son, Robert L Miller (Junior) and wife, Shauna Miller where she resided for the last 13 years, 3 great grandbabies KaRon Miller, Kyland Miller & Hudson Miller, 5 grandchildren Mack Piercey, Ronald Ford Jr (Katie) Breanna Haynes, Ashlee Larkin & Sierra Miller, 4 brothers Prett Rollins, Mack Rollins (Audrey), Caleb Rollins and Paul Rollins, 3 sisters Delores Reynolds, Rachel Hardin and Christine Hardiman; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and close friends (Phyllis Statz & Suzanna Gierpont) who have been a huge blessing in all our lives for the last 10 years, along with many more.
