Mrs. Kristal M. Lee

Obituary Kristal Mae Lee was born on June 15, 1978 to the union of Charles and Darlene Lee in Kansas City, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Charles L. Lee, Sr. and Olivia Mae Lee; maternal grandparents, Allen W. Call and Odessa Call. Kristal accepted Christ at an early age at Evangelist Temple Church Unlimited Church of God In Christ under the leadership of the late Bishop Carl Landrum, Sr. She later united with Tree of Life Ministry under the leadership of Elder Melvin McDonald. She was employed by Sprint Corporation later renamed T-Mobile for seventeen years. Lady Mae attended Our Lady of St. Rose Catholic School from 1987 until 1989. While attending Our Lady of St. Rose retained alot about their religion and culture. This caused her to have a huge concern and empathy for her loved ones and those she didn't know. She could here sirens from miles away and would start praying, fearing someone was in trouble or needed God's help. "That is just who she was." In 1990, she began attending the Public Schools in Kansas City, Kansas City. It was there she met Montello Smittie. They became high school sweethearts, he was the love of her life. On December 13, 1991, she gave birth to a beautiful baby girl Charlene Lee. She was one of the best blessings to her that year. On March 26, 1993 she gave birth to a beautiful baby girl Kristina Lee. On October 9, 1999 she married the love of her life, Montello Smittie, they received three more blessings to their family, Destinie, Dezman and Dyamin Lee-Smittie. Kristal departed this life on Tuesday, October 28, 2021 at the Overland Park Regional Medical Center. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Montello Smittie; five children, Charlene, Kristina, Destinie, Dezman and Dyamin Lee-Smittie; her parents, Charles and Darlene Lee, Raytown, MO; one sister, Holly Randle (Terry); her only niece, Precious Lee; father and mother-in-law, Andre' and Darnett Smittie, Belton, MO; brother-in-law, Elanzo Smittie (Carla), TX; four uncles, Earnest W. Call (Liz), Lonzo Call (Cynthia), Frank Edward Call and Vincent Evans (Sharon), a host of cousins other relatives and friends. Funeral Service will be held Friday, November 12, 2021,11:00am at Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapel. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9am-11am at the chapel.
