A Time To Be Born: KimMeisha AnToyya Hawkins-Dillard was born to Kimberly Ann Dillard-Whitaker and William Hawkins, Jr. on February 14, 1994 in Kansas City, Mo. She was preceded in death by her father, William “Bill” Hawkins, Jr., her maternal grandparents Deacon Samuel Henry Dillard, III, Mary And Dillard-Young, her paternal grandparents, William Hawkins, Sr. and Betty J. Trotter-Hawkins, her bonus grandparents, Eugene “Geno” Young and Marvin Edward Whitaker, her aunts, Deborah Dawson-Lee, Tracy Dawson-Murray and Snowa Dillard, her uncles, Gregory Dillard and Damon Hawkins, her cousins, Tiara Marnette Haynes and Angel Trinity Campbell. A Time To Plant: KimMeisha “Kimmie” lived in Raytown, Mo and attended Raytown South High School, graduating in 2012. Kimmie was Raytown South High School’s mascot, all while being on the basketball and volleyball team, playing in the band, a member of the drama club and acting in several plays. She was a very popular and talkative young lady and enjoyed making everyone laugh. KimMeisha “ Kimmie” confessed her belief in Jesus Christ at an early age at Mount Vernon Missionary Baptist Church in Kansas City, MO where she was baptized. Kimmie attended Pleasant Green Baptist Church in Kansas City, MO for a short time under the leadership of Pastor Delano Benson, where she was very active being in the youth choir, on the dance ministry, junior usher board and was in several church plays. She was lead back to Mount Vernon Missionary Baptist in Kansas City, MO under the leadership of Pastor Donald W. Givens. Kimmie could not wait to become active again by attending Sunday school, joining the youth usher board, youth choir, young adult choir, dance team, modeling with the junior ministry, becoming a pillar of always wanting to help and show her talents by singing solos, directing the youth choir and quoting her favorite scripture Psalms 23 for the usher board annual day. She would help and do anything with kindness whenever she was asked. Kimmie grew closer to the Lord as she was battling her illness with Multiple Sclerosis and Lupus, even while catering to others needs. Kimmie was dependable, committed and available to her family and friends, showing love, kindness and a giving heart towards everyone she came in contact with. Kimmie was everyone’s “Little Shorty” with the biggest, giving heart, Gorgeous face and Beautiful smile that had an everlasting impression on others. She loved fashion, modeling and being beautiful being the “Diva” she was. Kimmie showed all these things with how she dressed up in various ways and showering us with her style and made up face. Kimmie was a loving, outgoing, fun, expressive, confident young lady trying to live her best young life to the fullest while enduring the overwhelming pain she was feeling. KimMeisha Kimmie” loved reading her Bible, journaling, cooking( especially her famous spinach rotel) family gatherings, karaoke, music, modeling, training dogs (which she had a special gift at) volunteering, hanging with her friends, pulling pranks, taking photos, making people laugh, encouraging and helping others. Kimmie was our family mediator, wanting everyone to get alone with each other. She would give you her last dime, and always put others needs and happiness before her own. Kimmie was That daughter to her parents, That sister to her siblings, That auntie to her nieces and nephews, That granddaughter to her grandparents, That niece to her uncles and aunties, That cousin to her cousins, That friend to her friends, That caregiver to anyone who needed her and That manager to her employees who gave all of us love, joy and happiness to have her around and we will miss her very much. KimMeisha “ Kimmie” was employed at various retail stores. Her current employer that she loved so much as a Store Manager was with Rainbow Shops, in Raytown, MO., she would work at other locations in the area to help out. She was dedicated and dependable to the company, obtaining several positive and commendable certificates. Kimmie loved retail and fashion and expressed her gifts, beauty, talent, expertise and confidence as a plus size young woman and model. She was very helpful to all those who entered her store. Kimmie never met a stranger, those who knew her and those who met her, grew to love her vibrant and lovable spirit she embraced them with. A Time To Die: KimMeisha AnToyya “Kimmie” Hawkins-Dillard also known as “Little Shorty” or “Kimmie-CoCoPuff” received her wings at 31 years young on early Friday morning on August 1, 2025 unexpectedly with family and friends around her. She is now in paradise where no weapons formed against her, no more overwhelming pain, no more troubles or heartaches of this world, singing her favorite song “Let Go, Let God” quoting her favorite scripture Psalms 23 resting peacefully in her saviors arms. A Time To Mourn: KimMeisha “Kimmie” Hawkins-Dillard was the fourth child of five and the babygirl. She leaves to cherish her memories her parents, “MoM Dukes” and “PoPs” Deacon Orlando L. and Kimberly A. Whitaker, two sisters, Erica Cain and Tatianna Whitaker, two brothers, Lavell Whitaker, Sr. and Orlando Whitaker, Jr., six nieces and nephews, Elijah Manier, Eniyah Manier, Royal Cain, Lavell “LJ” Whitaker, Jr., Aria Viveiros and Amina Viveiros, her aunts, Angela Dawson, Carmen Carpenter (Glenn, Sr.), Pamela Dillard, Lois Durham, Stephanie Collins, Nancy Dillard, Melissa Hawkins, Deconda Bowens (Marvin, Sr.), Pamela Beardon, Sandra Arberry (Curtis), Lisa Bradley, her uncles, Samuel H. Dillard, IV, Winston Dillard, Shawn Murray, Andre Love (Erica), Brian Whitaker, Sr. (Kristie), Richard Smith (Resha), her bonus grandma Bessie Lee Whitaker, her special cousins, Trekelia Dillard, Marquise Dawson, Robert Simpson and Keith ‘KJ” Murray, her God-Sisters, Sauntymia Robinson, Tanaya Williams, Kelvey Keys and Kiara King, her God-Brother, Timothy Williams, her special great uncle, Jimmie T.
