Mr. Kevin A Sanders

Obituary Kevin Sanders, passed away on January 13, 2023, at the home. Kevin A. Sanders was born on June 6, 1979 in Indianola, MS to Florence Palmer and the late Clyde Stansberry. He lived in Mississippi until age 15 when he relocated to Kansas City. He attended Central High School where he found interest in the railroad industry. He began an apprenticeship with the railroad while working as a delivery driver of auto parts. After completing the apprenticeship, he started his first job at BNSF railroad. Two years later, he accepted a position with Union Pacific where he served most of his tenure as a Supervisor. He was promoted to Senior Management and relocated to California where he was the manager of 12 California locations. He dedicated 20 years to the railroad industry. After his railroad career, he began a career with the United States Postal Service as a truck driver. While in California, he married his loving, dedicated wife Stacy and was blessed with two more children. Shortly after this union, Kevin fought and defeated his first cancer battle with the encouragement, love and support of his wife. Some of his greatest joys came from his wife and 4 children. Kevin had a passion for cars, motorcycles and music. He is a member of Street Savage Motorcycle club where he was head of Social Media and Head of the Race Team. He dedicated countless hours and became known across several states for his racing talent. He departed this life peacefully at home on January 13, 2023 surrounded by family. He is survived by his magnanimous wife, Stacy Sanders; one son Kevin Sanders Jr.; one daughter Shane Sanders, one stepson Dillard Tolbert and one stepdaughter, Ya’Nayla Beuford; two grandchildren Chase Williams and Nevaeh Sanders; mother Florence Palmer; two sisters Michelle Sanders and Sabrina Byas; five nieces, one nephew, brothers of Street Savage, and a host of cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 20, 2023 at 11 am at Grace Holy Trinity Baptist Church 2205 N 7th St KC KS. Visitation will be held from 10 am- 11 am. Interment Forest Hill Cemetery. A Wake will be held on from 5 pm - 7 pm at the Linwood Chapel on Thursday, January 19, 2023. Services conducted by Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapel.
