Ms. Ida M. Paul

Ida Mae Paul passed away on March 13, 2026, at Centerpoint Hospital. She was born on July 29, 1952, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Willie and Cleo Paul. She was raised in a large and loving family, where she learned the value of love, strength, and togetherness. Early in life, Ida gave her heart to Christ and joined Pleasant Green Baptist Church, where she faithfully served. Her faith remained an important part of her life. Later, she became a member of Christian Charity Church. Ida grew up in Kansas City, Missouri, and attended Lincoln High School. She continued her education at Donnelly College, where she earned her Associate Degree. She worked as a dental assistant and later as a school bus driver, a role that allowed her to care for and connect with children in a special way. Family was the center of Ida’s life. She was a devoted mother who loved and cared deeply for her children, Donnie Paul Sr. (LaKeisha Paul), Donna Wallace, and Lamar Quarles. She found joy in nurturing those around her and was known for her kind heart and willingness to help others. Ida also faithfully cared for her special friend, John Belcher, for over 13 years until she was no longer able. Ida was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Cleo Paul; her sisters, Anna Mae, Ola Mae, Bobbie, and Rosemary; and her brother, Willie Delano Paul Jr. She leaves in the loving care of God her children, Donnie Paul Sr. (LaKeisha Paul), Donna Wallace, and Lamar Quarles; her siblings, Betty Paul, Billy Paul, Dale Paul, Donald Paul, Dorthy Bryant, and Linda Paul; her sister-in-law, Audrey Paul, wife of the late Willie Delano Paul Jr.; her special friend, John Belcher; a host of nieces and nephews; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives, and friends. Ida will be missed dearly. Her love, strength, and caring spirit touched many lives and will continue to live on in all who knew and loved her. Her love will forever remain in our hearts. Memorial service will be held at 11 am at Christian Charity Church 11000 Ruskin Way Kansas City ,MO 64134. Private Disposition. Services conducted by Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapel.
