Miss Gia Stephenson

Gia Antoinette Stephenson, 36, was born on June 28, 1989, in Kansas City, Missouri, to the union of Pastors Armuor Stephenson, Jr. and Shirley Stephenson. Her beloved mother and father preceded her in death in 2005. Gia accepted Christ at an early age as a member of Parkway Baptist Church, now known as The City KC in Raytown, Missouri. Gia was educated in the Raytown and Lee's Summit School Districts and later earned her General Educational Development (GED) certificate. Throughout her career, Gia worked in a variety of customer service, transportation, and support roles, serving individuals from all walks of life. Most recently, she was employed as a Strategic Rideshare Specialist with Medical Transportation Management (MTM), where she acted as a liaison between the company and its Independent Transportation Providers, helping maintain the quality, reliability, and integrity of services that connected individuals to vital healthcare appointments. For Gia, helping others was more than a job. She cared deeply about people and found fulfillment in serving those in need of support, guidance, and assistance. Whether helping someone navigate a challenge or ensuring they had access to important services, Gia approached her work with compassion and a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of others. This commitment to helping people reflected values instilled in her by her parents and remained a consistent thread throughout her life. Serving others filled her cup and gave purpose to her work. Outside of work, Gia loved the people and things that brought her joy. She adored spending time with her beloved Yorkie, Charlie, who was a constant companion. She enjoyed shopping (especially for a new pair of Jordans), reading, watching reality television, and cheering on her Kansas City Chiefs. She also treasured spending time with her closest friends and family. Family was important to Gia, and she loved them deeply. Gia will be remembered for her big personality and ability to say exactly what was on her mind. Honest, funny, and unapologetically herself, she brought laughter, energy, and authenticity wherever she went. There was only one Gia, and there will never be another quite like her. Gia departed this life on May 27, 2026, at her home in Kansas City, Missouri. Though her passing came far too soon, her memory will live on through the countless lives she touched with her humor, compassion, resilience, and love. She leaves to cherish her memory three brothers, Michael Rahn, Armour Stephenson III (Jessica), and Patrick Stephenson (Allison) of San Diego, California; one niece, Amaris Stephenson; three nephews, Armour Stephenson IV, Ashton Stephenson, and Aiden Stephenson; her beloved Yorkie, Charlie; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday June 3, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at City of Truth Church 7049 Blue Ridge Blvd. KCMO 64133. Private Disposition. Visitation 10:00am – 11:00 a.m. at the Church.
