Mr. Fred Ramphal

With grateful hearts, we celebrate the life of a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend who passed away peacefully at home on June 17, 2026. Born in Guyana, he immigrated to the United States in 1983, bringing with him a strong work ethic, deep faith, and unwavering dedication to family. For more than sixty years, he practiced the skilled trade of horology, a craft he learned early in life and continued with pride and precision throughout the years. A man of many interests, he was an avid cricket enthusiast, both as a player and a spectator. He rarely missed an opportunity to enjoy a good cricket match and was equally enthusiastic about cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas City Royals. He also found great joy in gardening, especially tending to his peppers, okra, and tomatoes. Those who knew him will remember his wonderful sense of humor. He could find something to joke about in almost any situation and had a gift for making others smile. He treasured time spent talking and laughing with his siblings and loved being surrounded by family and friends. His Christian faith was the foundation of his life. As a faithful member of Grace Assembly of God Church, he began and ended each day reading his Bible and spending time in prayer. His quiet devotion and trust in God were evident in the way he lived and cared for others. Perhaps his greatest legacy was his love for family. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Dolly, and a loving father to his sons, Sandy and Phillip. He lovingly helped raise his granddaughters, Tai and Indira, from an early age, providing guidance, support, and unconditional love. His influence will continue to be felt in the lives of all who were blessed to know him. He is survived by his wife, Dolly; his sons, Sandy and Phillip; his grandchildren, Tai, Indira, and Joshua; and his three great-grandchildren. He leaves behind a legacy of faith, laughter, hard work, and love that will be cherished for generations. Though he will be deeply missed, we take comfort in knowing that his life was well lived, his faith was strong, and his memory will remain forever in our hearts. A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the chapel. Arrangements entrusted to Lawrence A. Jones Funeral Homes & Cremation.
