Ms. Frankie Lee Vample

Obituary Frankie Lee Vample, was born on March 6, 1938, to the union of Welton Vample, Sr. and Lillie Mae Prude in Dell, Arkansas. Her parents, siblings, Mary Ann Prude, Larry J. Prude, Charles Vample, Welton Vample, Jr., Rosie Mae Brown, Jeffrey Vample, Charles B. Prude, Fannie Ruth Prude-Cassey and Lee Prude, daughter, Audrey Renee Vample and granddaughter, LaShonda Davis Ersery all preceded her in death. Frankie was educated in the Blytheville, Arkansas Public Schools and attended Harrison High School. She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at the St. Paul Baptist Church in Blytheville, Arkansas. Frankie relocated to Kansas City in 1971 and made her home here over fifty years. She went to trade school where she graduated in the field of cosmetology. She was employed at Whitaker Cable Corporation for many years. Frankie united with the Metropolitan Spiritual Church of Christ under the leadership of Bishop James D. Tindall, Sr. She was a devoted member of the church choir and Mother Board. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and aunt and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She departed this life on Monday, March 27, 2023, at St. Luke's Hospice House surrounded by her loving family. She leaves to cherish her memory, three daughters, Cynthia Johnson (Charles), Bloomington, IL, Deborah K. Davis (Henry), Kansas City, KS and Regina Sparks (Robert), Raytown, MO; three siblings, Jerry Vample ( Margaret) Farmington, MI, Earlie Lee, Overland Park, KS and Theresa Vample-Shephard, Kansas City, MO; twelve grandchildren, Charles Anthony Johnson, Audrey Renee Lasley, Sandra Johnson, Craig Adrian Johnson, Robert Hunt, ShaMekia Frankie Davis-White, Reginald Sparks, Racquel Sparks-Frazier, Crystal Johnson, Rodrick Sparks, Ryan Sparks and Ramon Sparks, a host of great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, three sisters-in-law, Ella Vample, Claretha Vample and Brenda Prude and many friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 8, 2023, 11:00am at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Interment Highland Park Cemetery, KCK. Visitation will be from 9am-11am at the church.
