Mr. Frank DeVille

Frank DeVille was born January 8, 1938 to Olin and Bessie DeVille in Beggs, Oklahoma. He was hard working and strived to succeed. He eventually got an opportunity to own his own service station in Kansas City. He first owned two Frank’s Fina in Kansas City, Mo. Next he owned Frank’s Conoco in Kansas City, Mo. He had another Frank’s Conoco in Belton, Mo. His last station was Frank’s Conoco Trailways in Lee’s Summit, Mo. By the time he got out of the service station business he owned three different stations at one time or another. Frank's next career was as a horse trainer. This career was one he was well suited for and was his dream job. He owned and or ran several stables during his training career. Frank not only owned stables but he also showed Tennessee walking horses all over the area. Frank won many shows during his career, he also trained horse that other riders won show upon. Frank had many well known clients who boarded their horses at his stables. Frank owned a small farm and had all types of animals. From horses to cows, chickens, ducks, goats, turkeys, geese, pigs, cats and dogs. Frank had a love for animals and for country life. Frank was funny and had a good sense of humor. He had many friends from all walks of life. He was able to make friends with just about anyone. Frank was preceded in death by his mother, father and 26 siblings and daughter Doris Jean DeVille. He is survived by: his children Frank Lee DeVille, Nora Faye Barnes, Sarah Lee, Bruce Anthony DeVille, Tommy Lee DeVille, Marcus Terry DeVille and step children Fredrick Douglas Stewart and Sheila Joy (Stewart) Beck. Frank was survived by his sister Deola Stanley of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Franks leaves numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. He departed this life on September 23, 2023 at his home in Lee’s Summit, MO. Prayer: We ask for your grace to help us accept his passing and to find peace in knowing that he is now in your loving embrace. Father, we know that you have a plan for each of our lives, and that includes our father's journey. We pray for the grace to accept your will, and to trust in your divine wisdom and goodness Memorial services will be held Saturday, October 7, 2023, 4:00pm at Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapel.
