Mr. Floyd Lee Roberson

Floyd Lee Roberson, 70, peacefully departed this life on June 14, 2025, in Kansas City, Missouri, surrounded by his loving family. Born on July 30, 1954, in Portageville, Missouri, Floyd was the son of Charles Zella and William Roberson. He was preceded in death by his father, William Roberson and two brothers Jesse Roberson and Johnny Robinson. He spent his early years in Hayti, Missouri, before graduating from Hayti High School. After a short time of attending college in Chicago, Illinois, Floyd relocated to Belle Glade, Florida, where he held a variety of positions in different businesses. His strong work ethic was evident in his independent nature and his commitment to staying active. He often took various odd jobs to maintain his independence and keep himself engaged. A man of ambition and authenticity, Floyd approached life with determination and a strong sense of purpose. He embraced life on his own terms, living fully and fearlessly, unfazed by the opinions of others. Known for his impeccable sense of style and dignity, he carried himself in a manner that inspired those around him. Beneath his honest and direct exterior, he was a deeply caring individual with a heart full of goodness. Over the years, Floyd maintained connections with numerous friends and acquaintances, and at a moment’s notice, he would hop on the highway to visit them. Floyd’s greatest source of pride and joy came from his children, Chakina, Tomika, and Floyd Jr. In his later years, he moved to Kansas City, Missouri, at the request of his daughters, where he spent the last 11 years of his life. This move allowed him to connect more closely with his daughters and become actively engaged in his grandchildren’s lives. Floyd’s love for his mother, who he affectionately called Mom, was unmatched. Even if she did not ask, he would assist her in every way he could. The two of them were a pair. He leaves to cherish his memories to his beloved mother Charles Zella Borders of Hayti, MO; two daughters Chakina (Tim), Tomika (Edwin), both of Kansas City, MO; one son Floyd Roberson Jr. of West Palm Beach, FL. two grandsons, TJ (Tyler) of Kansas City, MO; and Simeon of West Palm Beach, Fl; one great grandson, Eli; four great granddaughters, Aliyah, Za’Kiyah, Alanis and Alanah all of Kansas City, MO; six brothers and six sisters: Ruby (Wardell) of Chicago, IL, James (Carmina), of Belleville MI., Edith (James) Taylor of Hayti, MO, Emma (William), Donna, Shirley (Freddie), Ricky, Freddie, all of Kanas City, MO., Donald (Joann) of Hayti, MO, Tally (Debra) of Jonesboro AR., James (Kim) and Kayla both
