Mr. Everett Colbert, III

Obituary Everett Lee Colbert, III, 43, passed away on July 31, 2021 at Menorah Medical Center South in Overland Park, Kansas. He was born on October 14, 1977 in Kansas City, Missouri to Everett Lee Colbert, Jr. and Marjorie Grant Norris. Everett grew up in Kanas City, Missouri. He graduated from Van Horn High School in Kansas City, Missouri in 1996. After high school, he attended the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Engineering in Kansas City, Missouri. Everett began work for Estes as a CDL Driver where he worked for four years. Everett became the owner of his own construction company where he served numerous clients across Missouri to include the Housing Authority of Kanas City for over eight years. Everett was a member of Victorious Life Church. He was involved in BOSS Security Team at Victorious Life Church, Youth Ministry, Choir and was a mentor to many youths. Everett married Kimberly Colbert in 2008 in Kansas City, Missouri. They were happily married for fourteen years. Everett enjoyed spending time with family, traveling, ministering, mentoring, playing basketball, building and fixing everything he could. Everett was preceded in death by his mother, Marjorie Grant Norris. Everett is survived by his wife, Kimberly of Kansas City, Missouri; daughters, Chavalla Colbert and Kiersten Colbert of Kansas City, Missouri; his father, Everett Colbert, J. (Renee); siblings, Lisa McKinzy (Ivie), Traci Davis, Larry Colbert, Fallon Colbert, Erica Colbert, Marcus Colbert, Tyria Heard, Mark Heard, Brandy Thomas, Mel Thomas, Kenneth Thomas, Celeste Tucker, Harold Chaney, III, Shannon Chaney all of Kansas City, Missouri; grandchildren, Thomas and Marlin; nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, August 14, 2021, 11:00am at Victorious Life Church. Interment XII Gates Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 10am-11am at the church.
