Ms. Ethel Lowe

Obituary Ethel RosaLee Lowe, affectionately known as "Plumpy" was born on January 19, 1949 in Kansas City, Missouri to Cleveland Hardy, Sr. and Ethel Woods. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Clyde Woods, Sr., sister, Margaret Holman and a nephew, Aaron Hardy. Ethel was educated in the Kansas City Missouri Public School System and graduated from Manual High School class of 1967. After graduation, she attended Ottawa University. She met and married Clarence Barrow, Jr., in 1969 and to this union her only daughter, Trecia Wilson was born. In 1987, she married her high school sweetheart , Albert Lowe, Sr. and they made their home in Kansas City, Missouri until his passing ibn 1997. Ethel worked for the United States Postal Service in Kansas City, Missouri over 40 years and she enjoyed well deserved retirement in 2013. Although she had no church home, she knew the Lord as her personal savior and regularly attended Lenexa Christian Center Church in Lenexa, Kansas with her family until her health begin to fail. Ethel's greatest love was her family, whether it was a nephew, niece, cousin or friend, she was always willing to help or offer a kind word. She would give you the shirt off her back. One of her favorite sayings was if she had $.50 you had $.25. Her generosity knew no limits. Mommy, Moms, Aunt Plumpy, Grandma Ethel, Big Sis., etc., would give you her last. She will always be known for her calm demeanor and the way she handled adversity. It was not often she would raise her voice as she could say what she needed to say in her normal "smooth" tone, and you understood fully what she meant. She will be greatly missed all who knew and loved her. She departed this life on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home. She leaves to mourn her passing, her daughter, Trecia Wilson (James); her brother, Cleveland Hardy, Jr.; her sister, Pearl Bray (Jimmy); all of Kansas City, MO; six grandchildren, Zachary Wilkerson (Alyssa), Ft. Myers, Fl, Lonnie Jackson IV and Danyelle Parker, Kansas City, MO, Darryale Blunt, Denton, TX, James Wilson (Alisha), Galveston, TX, Danyelle Parker and Jayla Wilson, Houston, TX; thirteen great-grandchildren; nephews, Cameron Bray (Antoinette), Kansas City, MO, Mark Holman (Fadhila), Concorde, CA, Mark Hardy, TN, Clyde Woods, Jr., Chicago.IL, Mark Anderson, AZ and William (Chucky) Woods and Gary Woods, Las Vegas, NV; nieces, Karen Armstrong, Belton, MO and Dannie Hill (Chuck), Kansas City, MO; special friends, Patricia Tolson and Pastor Linda Glenn, a host of beloved family and friends. Funeral Service Saturday, October 15, 2022, 11:00am at Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapel. Private disposition. Visitation 10:00am-11:00am at the chapel. Service conducted by Lawrence A.
