Obituary MS. ELIZABETH BASS On January 20, 2021, Elizabeth Ann Bass affectionately known as Ann received heavenly perfect peace, “to be absent from the body and present with the Lord. “ 2 Corinthians 5:8. She was born November 24, 1956 in Aberdeen, MS to Ferdinand Ford and Mary F. Holliday. Ann was raidsed by Mary, her mother and Willie B. Williams, her stepfather. She grew up in Kansas City, KS. Ann attended and graduated from Washington High School in 1974. After high school, she attended Penn Valley Community College and Kansas City Business College in Kansas City, MO. Ann received a certificate of leasing from Ligh Hougse Staffing in Dallas, TX. After completion of her education, Ann held various jobs but she retired from the Dallas ISD Police Department, Dallas, TX. Ann met and married Claude Lee Bass. They were blessed with one son, Claude Lee (Lonnie) Bass. In 2015, Ann missed Lonnie and her grandson whom she loved dearly so much she moved back to Knas City. To her son she was Mama and to her grandson she was Nana. She was their world and they were hers. Ann was a lady of many talents and had many interests. She was well known for her cooking. When she cooked, everybody wanted a plate! Her desserts were wonderful. German chocolate cake and sweet potote cheese cake always were eaten and not even crumbs were left whe she made them. Not only did she cook, but she loved to fish. During the summertime, she could always be found on the fishing banks reeling in the fish. Her love for corvettes was well known. After she retired, she purchased her dream car, a corvette! Ann never missed a chance to drive around town in her beautiful car while listening to her music! She became a member of Corvette Connected Organization. Ann’s commitment to service and eagerness to help others goes without saying. She was a dedicated member of Alice M. Brown #40 O.E.S. She joins Claude Lee Bass, husband, Ferdinand Ford and Mary F. Williams, parents, Tom and lallie Holliday, grandparents and other beloved family members in heavenly rest. Ms. Ann was a loving and supportive mother grandmother and sister. We will greatly miss her. Ann is survived by her loving son Lonnie; grandson, Claude Bass, Jr.; her brother: Martin Williams and Alonzo Williams, Kansas City, KS; one sister, Vanessa Ford, Dallas, TX; one special cousin/sister, Julie Knight, Arizona and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. They will truly mourn but will cherish the memories of their mother, Nana and sister. Funeral Services will be held at 11am on Saturday, January 30th at Zion Travelers MBC 3400 North 29th St. KCK 66104. Visitation 10am. Interment Chapel Hill Cemetery.
