Ms. Deloris Agee

Deloris Agee (affectionately known as Dee/Aunt Dee) was born to Tom and Emma Winston on April2, 1940, in Clarksdale, MS. She received her formal education at West End Primary School and McCloud High School. She later obtained her GED. She accepted Christ as her Lord and was baptized Sunday August27, 1951, at the age of 11. Deloris loved the Lord and serving in the church as the head of the junior usher board, singing in the choir, and serving in the kitchen. She was a mother of the church while attending New Horizon Missionary Baptist Church. She was a member of New Bethel Pentecostal Church from April 17, 2015, through her passing. She wed Allen Agee on June 14, 1958.To this union they had five beautiful children; Doris, Shirley, Margaret, Marilyn, and Michael. Deloris obtained her cosmetology certificationin1972.She spent many years as a bookkeeper at Carnation until the company dissolved. She later worked as a mortgage underwriter at Sentinel Federal Bank. Lastly, she worked as a lab technician at LabOne until her retirement. Deloris had an entrepreneurial spirit and owned liquor store for many years. She was the President of the Unique Ladies Social Club. She also loved to cook. She completed a cake decorating class at Kansas City, KS Community College. Deloris was the matriarch of her family and loved everyone dearly. She enjoyed hosting family and friends for dinners and holidays. She was a great support and provider to all who knew her. There wasn’t anything she wouldn’t do for her family. She was always welcoming to everyone around and never met a stranger. Deloris was proceeded in death by her daughter Marilyn Agee, mother Emma Winston(Haynes), father Tom Winston, brother Joseph Haynes, and sister Arleather McDaniels. Deloris leaves to cherish her memories; Daughters: Doris Winston(Ross),Shirley Agee, and Margaret Agee. Son; Michael Agee (Debbie). Grandchildren; Curtis Agee (Donna),Tyjuan Agee Sr. (She Ra), Annika Agee, Honorary Grandson, Carrick Rogers, Destiny Merritt,and Diquan Clayton. Great Grandchildren: Calieb Agee,Chelsey Agee,Tyjuan Agee Jr, Taima Jones, Ty’Rique Agee, J’Marion Moore, Key’Ara Moore, Dwayne Moore Jr., Riley Duncan,and Jerron Duncan Jr. Great Great Grandson: TyMir Agee. Siblings: Tom Winston Jr (Dorothea), Katherine Liggett, Reather Banks, Lucille Lee (Pastor Richard), Beverly Brown, Aretha Acker, Patricia Robinson(Nate), William Winston, Brett Winston(Kim),Emma Harris, Dorothy Gregory; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2024, 11am at New Bethel 745 Walker KCK 66101. Interment Chapel Hill Cemetery, KCK. Visitation from 10am-11am at the church. Services conducted by Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapel. Condolences may be shared on our website.
