Ms. Delores J. Bazy

Obituary Delores Jean Nichols was born February 25, 1936, in Kansas City Kansas. Her parents: Audrey Pauline Parks (Kemp) and Reynolds Joseph Nichols, both proceeded her in death. She attended both Kealing and Stowe elementary schools and later, Northeast Junior High School and Sumner High School. She was a lifelong resident of Kansas City Kansas & Missouri. Delores married James Milo Wesley, Sr. and out of that union four sons. She grew up in church and was active in various ministries, especially music. Delores was an accomplished singer/artist. She sung in choirs and as a soloist on many occasions. She enjoyed her gift of music and cherished her ability to bless others through song. She was a good mother to her children and faithful to her husband. She had big dreams for her future and the future of her children. We all know that our dreams may not come to fruition. The marriage between James and Delores ended after 19 years. She remarried years later, but that spouse passed away. Again, years later, Delores reconnected with a childhood friend of mutual affection, Otis Bazy. This union lasted 20 years, until her passing on January 6, 2023. She leaves behind her beloved husband, Otis Bazy of Kansas City, Missouri, her 4 sons: James Milo Wesley, Jr. (spouse: Diane); Gregory William Wesley (spouse: Harolyn); Mark Alexander Wesley (spouse: Sherri (Lynn) and John Derick Wesley (spouse: Michelle). Her 1st cousins, Yvette Ezel (Joey) & Yvonne and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Delores’ longtime friend, Sylvia. Special Thanks to Tanisha Wesley, Kai Dicus, Charles McField, Cheryl Bausby and a very precious soul who faithfully brought her communion. Thanks for your support and acts of kindness. We thank God for His Grace and Mercy and His Gift of Life and we thank each one of you who have expressed your love and respect for our family.
