Obituary Debra Elizabeth (Clinton) Porter was born October 16, 1955 in Kansas City, MO to the late Billie Clinton Sr. and Rubie (Morton) Clinton. Her parents, three brothers, Michael Jones, Douglas Clinton and David Tuggle; nephew, Rueben Clinton; niece, Suzanne Harris and brother-in-law, Clyde Harris, Sr., all preceded her in death. Debbie as she was affectionately known as, accepted Christ at an early age at Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Rueben Fields, located on 24th and Prospect, In 1973 Debbie graduated with honors (Magna Cum Laude) from Paseo High School. She obtained her Associate Degree from South Seattle Community College and achieved the certification of a Certified Public Accountant and served as a Washington State Notary. She united in marriage in 1974 to Arnold Porter Sr., and to this union one child was born. The marriage was dissolved in 1989. Debbie was employed with Commerce Bank before moving to Seattle, Washington in 1975. After 30 years of service, she ultimately retired in 2013 as a Senior Grant Administrator from King County Metro. Debbie brilliantly formed her own tax consulting business, “Little Debbie Tax Company”. Debbie was loving, gentle, thoughtful, and kind-spirited, who touched many lives from family, friends, and co-workers alike. She achieved her life goals and often expressed motherhood to be her greatest accomplishment. Besides being a nurturing mother and grandmother, she enjoyed crafts, extensive traveling throughout the U.S., and sailing many cruises abroad. Debbie was called home to be with the Lord on June 13, 2022. Her voice, laughter, and loving memories will forever live in our hearts and she will be truly missed. She is survived by her daughter, Arnetta Porter Lawrence, son-in-law Kenneth Lawrence, three granddaughters – Kendal, Kelsey, and Khloe Lawrence of Woodbridge, Virginia; special companion of 30 years – Willie Winston Sr. of Kent, Washington; godson Reginald “Jamal” Johnson of Kansas City, Missouri; goddaughter Cierra Walkingchild of Kent, Washington: sibling’s – Jonita (Robert) Stevenson of Kansas City, Missouri; Shirley (Floyd) Marshall of Graham, Washington; Billie (Tanya) Clinton Jr.; Patricia Smith; Tyrone Clinton; Annette (Reginald) Johnson, Denise Clinton, Barbara Clinton, and Veronica Tuggle-Hall, all of Kansas City, Missouri, a host of nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, June 25, 2022,11:00am at Corinthian MBC of Jesus Christ. Interment Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9am-11am at the church.
