Obituary Damon Washington Irvin, passed away on November 1, 2021. Damon Washington Irvin, age 35, was born on April 3, 1986, to Bridgette Stevens and Damon D. Irvin in Kansas City, Kansas. Damon was the first of two children. Damon professed his faith and love of Christ at an early age. He joined New Bethel Church under the leadership of Bishop A. Glenn Brady and was baptized in 2013. Damon attended Kansas City, Kansas District 500 public school system and graduated from Harmon High School. After graduating, Damon attended Kansas City, Kansas Community College as well as Kansas University in Lawrence, Kansas. He obtained his Associates Degree in Music/Choir. Damon was a very spiritual young man. He had a smile that would just make anyone’s day become brighter. He was very family oriented. He loved to make jokes and keep everyone that crossed his path in life happy and joyful. He was also a well-known kid at heart. He spent most of his time listening to music and blowing amazing tunes. He was gifted by God to play several instruments. He had a personality that would never show that there were any problems, bag times or chaos, going on in his life. Preceding Damon in death was his maternal uncle, Kevin Tatum, along with his paternal uncles, Antonio Irvin and Wally D. Irvin. Damon leaves many to cherish his memory including his parents, Bridgette Stevens and Damon Irvin; brother, Delano Hill, Sr.; maternal grandmothers, Minnie Mondaine Stevens Lasley, Beverly McGee; maternal aunts, Anyivette Mondaine, Shay Gray and Tonya Gray; uncles, Robert Stevens, Craig Stevens, Derrick Torrence, Wayman Torrence, Curtis Torrence; three nieces; one nephew and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral Service will be held Friday, November 12, 2021, 11:00am at Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapel, KS. Interment Highland Park Cemetery, KS. Visitation will be from 10am-11am the Kansas Chapel. Service conducted by Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapel. Condolences may be shared on our website.
