Mr Cub M Riddle, Sr

Obituary Cub M. Riddle, Sr. aka GP was born September 11. 1930. Cub was married to Helen (Keys) Riddle for fifty-six years until she went home to be with the Lord July 2006. Cub was a long-time member of Friendship Baptist Church, Kansas City, Missouri. He moved his membership to St. Peter CME Church where he continued his love and devotion for the Lord. Cub worked in construction. He helped build the Royals and Arrowhead Stadium and Halls on the Plaza. Cub retired from Cook Paint and Varnish where he was employed for over twenty-eight years. After retirement, Cub worked part time at Townsend Place Condominiums over twenty years. Cub adored his family. He loved cooking and having family barbeques. He loved smoking ribs, chicken, bologna, and sausage. He loved feeding his family and friends. Galatians 5:22-23 says but the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Cub lived his life by the fruits of the spirit. The most important spirit LOVE. He loved everyone. Cub was preceded in death by his parents Naomi (Collins) Riddle-Lyday and William Riddle, Sr., siblings, Lillian Riddle, Phebbie Riddle, Sonny Lyday, William Riddle, Jr., Ardina Johnson, Maxine Williams, Sophie Pluerie, Haskell Lyday. Cub leaves to cherish his memory children, Cub M. Riddle, Jr., Lafayette, CO, Annice M. Sanders (Geoffrey) of Kansas City, KS, Haskell H. Riddle, Sr. (Donisha) of Belton, MO, Eva E. Sparks (Reginald) of Raytown, MO, Helena T. Riddle of Kansas City, MO; grandchildren, Katrena Altieri, Gabrielle Sanders, DeVaun Riddle, Brooke Riddle, Lance Riddle, Haskell Riddle, Jr., Jaiden Donahue, JaBron Caruthers, Cordell Lee, Jr., Ciara Lee, Zaylaa Wilkerson, Nefertiti Haney, Niles Haney; great grandchildren, Morgan Altieri, Mary Altieri, Calvin Altieri, Mykell Riddle, Sarai Riddle; siblings, Hazel Elbert of Bowie, MD, Gabe Lyday of Wichita, KS, Woxie Lyday (Linda) of Wichita, KS; Cecil Lyday (Lois) of Brandywine, MD; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 18th at Floral Hills Cemetery. Wake will be held Friday, July 17th from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.
