Clifford Owen Butler

Obituary Clifford Owen Butler, 54, sometimes known as “Cliff”, was born October 17, 1965 in Fort Scott, Kansas to the union of Festus Mostnoble Butler, Jr. and Laverna (Fleming) Butler. Clifford went home to glory on Friday, December 6, 2019 in peace and comfort. He was proceeded in death by both of his parents, Daddy in 1982 and Mama in 1999; one brother, Eric Duane Butler in 2002; three sisters, Emily Jane Wallace in 1996, Brenda Kay Butler-Watson in 2013 and Mrs. Sharon Louise Butler-Ridley in 2014. Clifford was educated in the Kansas City, Missouri Public Schools. His favorite pastime activity was working was working Sudoku puzzles with an ink pen. Clifford worked many types of jobs; his favorite being roofing. Because he loved to be outside. Clifford was known for his exuberant personality and his ability to make everyone he met feel like family. He would always make you laugh and smile. There was never a dull moment in his life, and he loved to travel. His family and friends should/will find comfort in knowing that he never wasted a minute. In January of 2018 he was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer and he put up the fight for his life. God saw that he was getting tired, and a cure was not to be. So, he put his loving arms around him and whispered (Proverbs 3:24) When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet. Clifford received tender loving care at the North Kansas City Hospital – Hospice House. Clifford leaves to cherish his memory his only son, Clifford Owen Long in Melbourne, FL, his two daughters, Candy Laverne Butler in Clearwater, FL and Dashae Marie Laverne Saqua Sharon Kay Shadden in Pittsburg, KS, his four brothers, Michael E. Butler (Renee), KCMO, Festus M. Butler III, CA, Carlis D. Wallace, KCMO, Brian C. Banks, KCMO, his eight sisters, Lynda D. Butler-Thomas, TX, June E. Sayers (Darrie), KCKS, Cheryl D. Bronson, CA, Jacquelyn M. Butler, KCMO, Carla D. Butler, KCMO, Rebecca A. Butler, NJ, Michelle R. Branch (Mitchell), KCMO, Latonya R.
