Ms. Carla L. Jordan

Carla Jordan was born April 17, 1969, in Kansas City, MO to parents Eugene and Bettye Jordan. She was preceded in death by her father, Eugene Jordan; brother, Kevin Jordan Sr.; aunt, Karen Davis; and paternal and maternal grandparents. Carla graduated from Southeast High School, class of 1987. She also attended Penn Valley Community College, and she was formerly employed by KU medical Center. Carla was an affectionate, dedicated, and hard-working individual who always put the needs of others ahead of her own. She was known for her compassionate nature, giving spirit and infectious personality. Some comments said about her: - Co-Workers – “Sweetest person I’ve ever known”. - Classmates – “A great friend, always willing to extend a hug or listening ear”. - Cousins – “Like a big sister to me”. - Adopted Niece – “Text and called to check on me after I lost my mom”. - Friends – “Best friend of 35 years”. Carla was a “shopaholic”. Her other hobbies included cooking, baking, and traveling. She enjoyed most spending quality time with her family. She married her love, Glen Neal, in 2005. Carla was a faithful member of St. Stephens Baptist Church for many years and was always ready to lend a helping hand and offer words of comfort to whoever needed it. Aunt Carla’s love was unconditional. Although she never had children of her own, she loved the ground her nieces and nephews walked on. Carla loved her mother, Bettye. There are no words for the care and concern that she showed for her mother and was a dutiful daughter. Although sisters fuss sometimes, she loved her sister, Tracy. Tracy affectionately referred to Carla as her “Big Little Sister”. Carla Jordan transitioned from this life on September 26, 2024. She was surrounded by her loving family. She possessed an awesome spirit and fought a good fight. Her memory will remain in the hearts of her family, friends and all those who were honored to have the privilege of knowing her kind heart, generosity, and unforgettable spirit. Carla is survived by her loving Mother Bettye Jordan; Sister Tracy Jordan; sister-in-law Theresa Graves-Jordan; Nephews Michael Alexander (KC); and Kevin Jordan Jr. (MN); Nieces Danielle Alexander (KC); Kaela Jordan (KC); Kiana Jordan (KC); Kiera Jordan (KC); and Camille Graves (TX); Special cousin D. Smith (NV); Carla’s infectious smile gained her many friends and extended family.
