Mrs. Beverly Ann Dyer

Beverly Dyer, passed away on August 26, 2025, at the home. Beverly Ann Dyer, born Beverly Ann Bennett in Kansas City, Missouri on February 22, 1937, to Louise Steward and Clyde Bennett, Sr. Beverly Ann was a woman full of life, joy, and generosity. She embraced every moment and found happiness in her many hobbies, from water aerobics, cycling, and line dancing with friends at the YMCA, to golfing, shopping, playing Pokeno, and most of all, spending quality time with her beloved family. In 1972, she married her loving husband James C. Dyer in Miami, Oklahoma. Affectionately known as “Momma Ann” to many, she opened her heart and home to children in her neighborhood, offering love, guidance, and care to all who needed it. She lived her life in service, not only to her family and friends but also to her community. Beverly Ann received her education in the Kansas City Public School District and went on to dedicate her career to food service management within the same community. She faithfully served as a manager in the Kansas City Public Schools at Whittier, R.J. Delano, Weeks, and many other schools, as well as Father Benedict Justice Catholic School. Through her work, she touched the lives of countless students, colleagues, and families. As a devoted member of The National Court, Knights of Peter Claver Ladies Auxiliary, Member of Heart of America Golf Club Alter & Rosary Society and a cherished part of her social club, she gave back generously while building lifelong friendships and traveling with those she loved. The remarkable life of “Momma Ann” She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers; her loving husband, James C. Dyer; daughter, Diane Weaver McDonald; sons, Arthur; and Mitchell Weaver; her grandchildren, Walisa D. Weaver; Dominick Sears; and great-granddaughter, ShaRae Strother. She is survived by her children, Eleanor; Gary (Bernadette); Melvina; and Wiley (Shelia); her beloved sisters, Rosalind Smith; and Jean Clay; as well as her nephew, Rodney; whom she lovingly raised as her own. She also leaves behind 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great-grandchildren; all of whom will continue to cherish her memory and carry on her legacy of love. In addition to her family, she is remembered by her dear friends Kathy Funk; and Ninnah Phillips. In her final days, she was tenderly supported and surrounded with love by her daughter, Melvina; granddaughter, Terri; and her great-grandchild, ShonTerra; affectionately known as “Granny’s Girl.” Truly a woman of many hats, Beverly Ann will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, her giving nature, and the way she touched countless lives with warmth, laughter, and love. Funeral Services will be held on Friday September 5, 2025, at11:30 a.m. at St. Monica Catholic Church 1616 Paseo Blvd. KCMO 64108.
