Obituary MRS. BELYNDA MCCRAY-BELL Belynda Sue McCray-Bell was born on Thursday, August 16th, 1960 in Abilene, Texas to the late Donald McCray and Melvia Anderson. Belynda lived with her grandparents Hollis and Loda Mae Anderson until 1970 when she moved to Kansas City, MO with her mother. Belynda graduated from her beloved Paseo High School in 1978 and will always be a Pirate. Belynda attended Northeast Missouri State University earning her bachelor's degree in psychology followed by her masters in counseling in 1983. Belynda also became a licensed clinical social worker starting at Swope Parkway Health Center leading her to a long career working with children and families. Professionally, she held various executive leadership roles with KCMC Child Development Corporation and CDI Headstart. Belynda accepted Christ at a young age and was a woman of strong faith. In early adulthood she was an active member of Mount Vernon Missionary Baptist Church. She later joined New Life In Christ International Ministries where she has served as a Sunday school teacher and member of the Special Events and Brothers Keepers. Belynda loved the Lord with all her heart and instilled strong faith into her family. Belynda was married to Rick Bell. Together their family consists of three loving children and three beautiful grandchildren. Belynda was a breast cancer fighter and survivor who supported and encouraged many other women through their own cancer journeys. Belynda is preceded in death by: Mother, Melvia Anderson; Father, Donald McCray; Brother; Marcus McCain. Belynda leaves to cherish her memories: Husband Rick Bell, Son Ricky (Lauren) Bell, Daughters Chivonne (Lewis) Cook and Noelle (Brandon) Bell, Grandchildren Lauren Cook, Leah Cook, and Lewis Cook III, Sister Donna (Charles) McCray-Kid, and Brother Donald McCray and a host of brother and sister in laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and close friends.
